  • Who pays for the damages if u get in a accident??

  • @ARTOFWAR818 the owner of the car that is damaged , generaly if you go to a track you sign away any liability and only take responsability for your own car. Anyone else have anything to add? You can get insurance but it's expensive(for obvious reasons).

  • @Sfsusult I have a question who pays for the damages??

  • At first I thought this was an open track day, and thought wow you're an asshole. But then I realized you were racing. Kind of sucks that this happened, but understandable.

  • idiot was looking to drive into that red boxster

  • That BROKE MY HEART !!!!! THAT JUST RUINED MY MORNING IM SOO S OOO SOOO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS THATS JUST AWFUL :(

  • @Sfsusult - Amen brother!

  • It is fun to hear all the arm chair experts comment after the fact. 80 MPH downhill off camber turn. Sure just brake, why do you think the guy spun, he lifted. Come on people this is racing. When you are racing someone at the front and they make a mistake your first instinct is to figure out how to take advantage of it. Not to slow down and wait for everything to unfold before you make a decision. Sometimes you choose correctly sometimes you don't, "that's racing."

  • this not a "split-second decision" - it all unfolds from 00:20 until the impact at 00:24. FOUR F*UCKIN SECONDS!!! the car in front got lift-off overstear at 00:20 which is very hard to control. after the driver couldn't catch the counter at 00:22 it became very clear that he was spinning in your direction with nothing to stop him. two seconds to brake or make an attempt to avoid collision. and absolutely nothing from your part. well ...

  • @JeanSeeberg what should he have done? brake? LOL

  • @1xtra299 instead he was accelerating right into the spinning car - really ... wtf!

  • Nope. I wouldn't have tried that pass seeing how loose the front car still was. You can slow down, keep the car chasing you behind by defending, and wait and see what the final outcome of the spinning car is going to be. 911's spin a certain way. Mid engined cars spin a certain way, etc. You have to learn to read them. Can't tell you how much carnage I've avoided over the years. Lose the pass. It's ok. Stay in the race. Dive off the track if you must to avoid contact.

  • what a fucking idiot didnt see him clearly spinning out nd just wanted to speed up nd pass him while he was still spinning in that direction≥...fucking moron

  • @lilmrrpimp you obviously don't race.

  • @lilmrrpimp it looks like he was already committed and had no out, you just don't jerk on the wheel at speed nor can you brake in a corner at that speed. It looks like the guy in front lifted causing lift-throttle oversteer

  • Dont mean to be a d.ick but why would you floor it when some one ahead of you is clearly not in control of their car. Could have been avoided

  • @richor - I guess it's the difference between racing and time trialing. A lap before he put two wheels off in the same section of the track but he kept his foot in it and was able to stay ahead. The decision here was, is this just a bobble and an opportunity to pass or a full spin. Understand also that there are several cars right behind me trying to pass. The split second decision was that he would save it and this was an opportunity to pass - obviously it didn't work out that way.

  • @nprichards Got it, A short video never gives the whole picture, I did notice you other videos and you are a good driver. What kind of car are you driving? Keep the videos coming :)

  • @richor Driving a 99 Boxster Spec last year and first couple events this year and then moving to a 99 911 996 Spec car.

  • @nprichards I agree

  • he had enough time to avoid that one.

  • Wow I'm sorry your car got torn up but didn't you see him start to get squirley?

  • @Domman56 - When you watch the video it seems like you have a lot more time. We were racing closely and third place was right on my bumper behind me so at a certain point I decided that there would be room to the left as I thought he was going to save it or go off to the right. The guy behind me slammed on his brakes as well, spun and cracked one of his front radiators.

  • Yeah i'm sure it does look alot slower because i saw you guys running out there that weekend and you guys were flyyyying, I was really surprised by the performance out of some of those boxters .

Well hop you get that car fixed soon

I've got a few more video's from out there that weekend that I'm going to upload this week

  • wow. So sorry that happened to you.
