I don't understand your logic. KMT deserved the credit for killing Taiwanese intellectuals and leaders to protect Taiwan from CCP? Chian Kai-shek is a murderer ever since he was a KMT member in China. He even killed his fellow comrades in power struggle. He beat up his wife and dragged her by hair down the stairs. If you don't know this history, go read his son Chiang Jing-kuo's diary. Trying to twist the history doesn't get you anywhere.

To Armageddon11011989: The ROC Regime that had butchered thousands of Taiwan innocent civilians in Taiwan 228 Massacre was then led by the KMT Party. To date, this super rich KMT Party in exile has not confessed the criminal acts of Taiwan 228 Massacre (for which the KMT Party should be held responsible) and has not repaid any penny to the victim families, out of the huge ill-gotten assets of KMT Party.

It is Taiwan tax payers who have paid the compensations to the victims' families, not KMT!
