I remember this well it we're cos ferrari decided they couldnt win the titles n beat montoya on the track so they sucked of the fia so they cud get a change 2 the tires lol fuckin cheatin cunts.... fuckin ferrari biggest fuckin scumbags in f1 history knead a fuckin slap.... or a kick in the balls innit lol
This guy is in formula since the mid seventys. He started as a Williams mechanic, he is one of the oldest guys. Responsable in a large way for Schummi´s success, and in 2009 builts a car and wins the World championship. Now that´s an F1 career.
Funny thing about all this is that Michelin didn't change their tyre at all because of it, Williams/McLaren/Michelin got beaten fair and square in 2003 by Ferrari and Bridgestone. Deal with it.
@supercas46 From an Atlas F1 interview with Pierre Dupasquier: "But most importantly, we did not modify our tyre - this year [2004] we ran the same tyre as we did last year [2003], before Hungary. The only thing we changed was added a clear mark on both sides of the tread, to make it more visible and the measurement easier. Other than that, we did not modify anything to it - we didn't even change the mould, it's the same mould."
@LoudestHoward Official Formula 1 Website, also Pierre Dupasquier: "The new interpretation of the rules by the FIA has forced us to react". "Our people have been working 24 hours a day since last Wednesday and new tyres are being tested in Monza as we speak. For anyone that knows anything about the tyre world, to do what we've just managed is a huge achievement and this is only possible thanks to the hard work and fast reaction time of our teams here in Clermont-Ferrand."
Todt is the boss of the FIA. Luca must have put him there, to ensure Ferrari win the championship. I think Mr Vatanen should have got the job, because he is a cool guy, but fair as well.
@nickJod1234 Oh great! Another conspiracy theorist. If Ferrari complain, they should just shut up and stop whining, but if they do nothing then it's all one big conspiracy... Anyone got a tinfoil hat?
@aieljose Hehe, I don't mind them complaining, but other people think they are whining. Ok what I said may be very conspiracy-like, and may not be true. But sometimes Ferrari and FIA are very suspicious.
FIA change exhaust regulation and Ferrari win. I'm not saying anything definite, but it is a little suspicious.
@nickJod1234 If ferrari wanted to intentionally fix the championship by giving ferrari an advantage, i don't think they would have waited until williams and hrt asked for clarification on the over run. That's how this whole thing started. Unless of course you believe the FIA, williams, and hrt are working together in the sole interest of helping ferferi. Ferrari owned the 2000's because they had the best car. Just like redbull is winning now because they have the best car.
@nickJod1234 What is interesting though is that almost nobody accuses redbull of getting help from the FIA or neither renault when they were winning in 2005 and 2006. Why is that? The conspiracy theorists make me sick.
@nickJod1234 I don't. My point is it's funny how people single out ferrari only. Mclaren lobbied to get some of the changes before silverstone but you hardly hear any fuss about that. Redbull and mercedes powered teams were also given concessions to run more than the agreed overrun limit of 10% and it was mclaren who then pushed for the teams to agree to return the rules prior to silverstone after they sucked so bad in silverstone. Ferrari agreed graciously.
@aieljose It is easy to for people (including me) to suspect Ferrari so much, because when things happen, Ferrari often tend to have a connection somehow - I don't know if it is just bad luck that puts Ferrari in these positions, but, yeah. But for me, Luca is a very untrustworthy person. I like Stefano Domenicali, and the data people and Fernando and Felipe. But they all have to answer to Luca - to me he is like a dark shadow on their shoulder.
well....we had a bunch of people saying ferrari are whiny pussies, and then we had the exploding michelins at indianapolis. maybe michelins were cutting their tyre too fine.
@bilalp1 YOU RE WRONG MATE...IF YOU PUT IN A RELATIVE WAY...MCLAREN IS THE MOST SUCCESFULL..THEY VE STARTED ON THE 70 S ..AND FERRARI ON THE 50´S ...SO YOU RE WRONG. MCLAREN FOREVER.
@rdtli Interestingly, on those terms, you're also wrong. Relatively speaking, Brawn GP is the most successful F1 team, with a 100% constructors and drivers championship win rate.
Patrick: We have been gaining an unfair advantage for ages... Why complain now? Why not let us carry on with our 'tyre advantage'...
Ross: I don't care whether you are 'upset' or not. We want the tyre situation to be more equal, so we need the rule clarifying, and our fed up waiting for Bridgestone to complain...
@kathrynashworth1 Nerves. People fidget with stuff without realise if they're nervous or if they're lying or trying to talk their way out of something.
The reason the person was laughing was because the answer Ross Brawn was giving was laughable. Plain and simple. He should have continued laughing until Brawn had stopped speaking.
Patrick does have a point though. Ferrari was the ONLY Bridgestone team to complain, the others didn't care because they didn't see the Michelin teams getting an advantage. They just whine to the FIA when things don't go their way. Although since Hamilton won the title they haven't really complained because they know that being gifted the title by the stewards isn't always going to work.
@Roversfan22 You know who's the president of the FIA, don't ya? Jean Todt, former Ferrari boss. If it had been McLaren or even Lotus they would have been DQd instantly. Ferarri just get a £10k fine and get called naughty. Anybody else it'd be capital punishment.
@MrPoundNote well we all know that mclaren wouldn't get DQ'd and believe it or not they've practically done the same thing this season at turkey when whitmarsh told them not to race each other over the radio after the red bull collision and it was a $100,000 fine and possible exclusion from a forthcoming race,if anything over the last few years the FIA haven't really favoured ferrari and they've been giving out poor punishments for all offences... spygate in 07 and piquet in singapore 08 pop out
@MrPoundNote there's nothing in the rulebook that can see these drivers dq'd for this as it's 90% a team decision and massa did nothing wrong he's abiding by his contract most probably, anyway it's a poor rule like many rules have been found to be this season and they can't police it so they should stop trying. To all biased mclaren fans i say this, where were you when hamilton got caught cheating at melbourne 09 and the spygate scandal both put the sport into disrepute more than this incident
@duannejacksonbox I'm a Williams fan more than a McLaren fan, been supporting them since the early 90s, but like many people I do think Ferarri somehow get away with things so lightly. McLaren got DQd from the constructors championship for something a FERARRI engineer (Nigel Stepney) passed onto them. Both should have been hit hard, not just McLaren. But during those two seasons, races were decided more in some French office than they were on the track.
@MrPoundNote which is precisely what we f1 fans are in danger of seeing yet again this season, even though they won't admit it all teams do have "code" for team orders and they will use them at some point in the seaosn to enhance their possibility of succeeding in that race or the championship, it's just that ferrari blatantly did it and it was so obvious and i can understand why people are angry at that but this is a problem that will never go away and can't be policed ever in formula 1
@duannejacksonbox They can sort of police it by have set penalties for breaking rules like this. If it happens with another team later in the year (which I doubt, because the other teams let each other race) they will get a completely different punishment. The fact that the new president of the FIA is a former Ferrari director is raising eyebrows left right and centre. They need someone who isn't/wasn't affiliated to any of the teams to ensure fair decisions. Someone like Martin Brundle, I dunno
@MrPoundNote you say that other teams let their drivers race each other but you watch at the end of the season when its vettel v hamilton in the final race of the championship there'll be team orders flying left right and centre. the fact that jean todt is the president of the fia has little/no effect on the decision made yesterday he was voted into that post, it is a rule that has to be changed so that either it is scrapped or a much harsher punishment is given
@MrPoundNote Todt being the president of FIA has nothing to do with penalties given out in race tracks, is not his job, there's stewards for that, he doesn't penalize any event that takes place under FIA being Rally, GT or whatever... it works like that in any company, the president has other jobs, and like any other president of any company, or organization, his job is being monitored by many.
