DO NOT get the Touch Diamond Pro. It is really the most annoying, laggy phone i have ever used. The only thing that is accurate and not laggy is the touch flow menu. even texting is laggy, when i used the slide out keyboard it has about a 3 second lag before it starts to catch up. I would definately not reccomend you get the touch diamond pro, it is not very well put together, the slide out keyboard is very loose. well maybe its just the one that i have because i got it 2 weeks after it came out

I guess you haven't been 2 the world of customizing the touch pro... they have aftermarket roms out that take care of all the issues you stated and its real easy to apply them... ya out of the box it kinda sux but once you load a good rom and a couple of tweaks your good 2 go..

but the thing i use is the touch keypad for texting and such its really great, and u dont need a stylus nor do u need to have tiny fingers

Also keep in mind that a Battery + Cradle/Battery slot charger is recommended for purchase alongside either of these phones. The batteries are a solid POOR rating.  Unfortunately this cannot be escaped with this level of phone. BTW the extended life batteries that come with new back plates DOUBLE the thickness of your phone.

The diamond in my mind loses the battle quickly with the lack of a keyboard. The touch keyboard is only useful when used with a stylus, unless you have tiny fingers. Also anyone looking to get the Touch Pro or the Touch Diamond, wait a couple weeks here and get the Touch Pro2 and the Diamond2. They are inherently better and an easy decision if you are planning to buy one of these. I personally just bought the Pro, just because i couldnt wait and i found an incredible price.

I had the pro for about 2 weeks and exchanged it for the diamond because I ended up using the phone keypad with t9 enabled instead of the actual keyboard on the pro. The buttons on the keyboard ended up being too small for me to use. I went in thinking that an actual keyboard would be great for texting but unfortunately for me, it ended up being harder than I had hoped.

You can if it is within the 30 day period that they allow for trying the phone out, though I am not sure if all carriers have the same time period. I have alltel, but you would need to check with yours. You would end up paying more for the pro vs. the diamond though.

The touch pro has a nicer flow in itself.

Also the battery is much better. Personally I love the TP because of it's Keyboard, it's a really good keyboard! So !NO! the touch diamond is not better :P (In my opinion)
