    It's my favorite by chopin

  • Extraordinario...Gracias por el video

  • heh, it's so beautiful..

  • Many thanks. Subscribed to your channel. Like it a lot!!! Well done friend.

  • That's the most beautiful animation of them all..

  • Why does this rendition remind me of Luigi's Mansion? Why?... Gamer moment... All in all, it's beautiful.

  • Perfect .... Just Perfect

  • magnifique

  • I have a new favourite piece of music.

  • totaly beautiful, thanks you for posting.

  • Cool!

  • @c0731 Dont see the name`s better yet hear the music

  • Beautiful

  • Now in geomtry class I can't stop humming this song

  • symphony 9? E flat? F minor? allegro? movement? THIS is the exact reason why i don't lisen to classic music, because i can't. Because i really don't understand these types of titles. Its frustrating that when i listen to a classic song on a parody of some show or hear it in some crazy commercial, that i don't know whats the name of the song or who made it.

  • @c0731 Listen to composers. After awhile, you'll pick out your favorite compositions, and will remember their "names" or descriptors. Take it from there. Chopin is a worthy start.

  • @Jerberization chopin huh? thanks, but i still wish there would be a website or something that would have a list of all songs from all composers..... or something like that.

  • @c0731 Try IMSLP (the International Music Score Library Project).

  • @VyvienneEaux Oohh hell yea thanks, ima check it out

  • @c0731 i totally agree with you, i feel the same, but this music is still very fulfilling

  • I can't stop watching these.

  • Beruhigt in dieser hektischen Zeit

  • After finish the video I think I become a PLANKTON

  • PERFECTA!!!

  • its so.. so... hypnotizing @.@

  • @icyangel13 i suppose mr chopin told you this himself did he? two sets of things to learn the difference between as homework for you: "objective / subjective" and "MIDI Sequence / Human Performance".

I think the computer played it great, personally.

  • @DOSEDcoUK A computer cannot play with passion, for it has no notion of love. And Chopin without passion is utterly lifeless , no matter how technically well-executed. Of course, I never said this wasn't just my subjective opinion.

  • @icyangel13 but you are personifying a computer. a computer is not an animal. emotions are functions of biology and psychology in animals. not in mechanical and electronic devices. you could program a computer to interpret the piece in different ways depending on how hot the computer was (and how ill maybe) or how long the computer had been switched on - so, emotionally!

But otherwise, computers have just the same potential to interpret tempo and other indications on the score as a human can.

  • @DOSEDcoUK When you find a way to program a computer to compose beautiful music or original works of poetry, let me know. I'll be waiting.

  • @icyangel13 well, i never suggested that. but, obviously a computer can often compose much better than a human, following first a set of conventions regarding writing the music, then a set of AI 'listening' and 'critiquing' the music to see if it would sound beautiful to human ears.

that would be a great way. so, there you go.

worth noting I never made any statement about composing stuff anyway.. some humans are god awful composers! some computers are absolutely incredible. and vice versa.x

  • @DOSEDcoUK Any "music" "composed" by a machine would be inherently without value, because the value of music or any artefact is in its being the expression of a person's experience. Maybe you were joking, in which case, apologies...

  • @evelyneverettgreen Machines are made by people. A machine that is made purely to "compose" music is by all standards an extension of the creator and his personality, thoughts, and feelings. How, might I ask, is that not art?

  • @evelyneverettgreen thats simply untrue... it may be a nice notion to believe that the more 'heart' or 'soul' that is put into an artwork or creative construct, then higher its value.. but it is simply not demonstrated prevailingly in reality. in truth you probably have simply no idea whether a lot of the art you like/enjoy was somehow conceived on a systematic or automated method.. rather than raw unmanaged, uninfluenced, unguided human expression (which doesnt exist). think.. brain = machine.x

  • @smalin I humbly beg your parden . hope it went to the correct one thistime

  • Incredible!!!

  • Superb!

  • lovely and hypnotic... ah... so great

by the way, i prefer this version =]

    thanks a lot!

  • Un chef d'oeuvre d'une exceptionnelle beauté !

    :-)

    Chantal

    (le piano arc-en-ciel)

  • heaven soundrack.

  • didnt dissapoint me

  • Could you please do that with fantasie impromptu? thanks :)

  • Barbarawow...it is art...beautiful genius music

  • @barbarawow this, is what I would like to call: A Dream, it's time to wake up

  • Sounds like Mario Galaxy, its awesome.

  • That's really music.

  • po co?

  • 4:28 a 4:35 magestuosa!

  • How did you get a video from the inside of my head? This is exactly what I see when I listen to music and close my eyes. Maybe my head is some kind of computer. What if our minds are not really brains but actually highly advanced space computers, and our bodies are just vessels that the space aliens put them in. Can anyone tell me if this is true or not? I need to know so I can sleep at night. Thanks.

  • @drinkmouse Yes, you are 100% correct. Good night.

  • @drinkmouse Mr. or Ms. Drinkmouse, it is very true. We are coming for you.

  • Reminds me of the 1980's game Elite much more than Chopin.

  • beautiful...Bravo!!

  • this is the playlist that changed my life

  • CHOPIN FRYDERIC FOREVER111

  • @LCxCZ Sorry i´m a german^^ I think "cruel" and "crude" is some like "terrible", isn´t it? Have do some work with midi files and in my opinion it sounds not very awsome. Sorry for my english:-) In fakt i love Chopin. Great to see his music is still in our hearts...

  • MIDI sounds cruel. But the visualisation is like dope for my eyes...

  • @Reckless2205 You mean crude?

  • For someone like myself who loves mathematics and Chopin but plays not a note of music at all, the visualisations add greatly to the appreciation of the music. I have looked at some of your other videos but the geometric construct is far more pleasing and informative with a mathematical beauty all of its own. Damn, I wish I had learned to play the piano...Thank you

  • @bathafarn

It's never too late to learn (:

  • there are so many geometric shapes in this simple piece! i am at awe. this is magnificent.

  • @smalin lepiej, że nie, uszy by mu spuchły ;))

organy u Pana podobają mi się bardzo, ale pianoforte wcale, a każdym razie pozdrawiam

  • this is really neat. it also helps give a visual idea of music's construction--takes your senses to another dimension.

  • please, make more with this kind of animation , with these lines and colors... its so trippy

  • No need better, this one is so wonderful.

  • The animation is beautiful.

  • Personally, I like the bouncy pop of the notes. I think it adds character. :)

  • Ehhh... what is the purposse of watching with my eyes at the intervals if I have to play with my ears.

  • GREAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!THAT´S A REAL MUSIC!!!!

  • search "Ballade of the stars" and click on first video that comes up. I hope it moves you in some way

  • Если посмотреть на экран, где всё время меняется многоугольник этот, а потом на любую другую область экрана, то эти области начнут двигаться

    влево-вправо...

  • why are the visuals so trippyyyy???? haha I love this piece though and this is well played

  • 我看不懂但是谢谢你啊 ^^

  • the geometry if music is so fascinating...

  • technical take on a chopin classic, i like it.

  • I hope that wont make me a copy cat but if I ever learn how to play piano I definately want to play this before I get old and - exactly like on this MIDI

  • i feel like a retard bcs i cant tell what notes theyre playing

  • @rav45x

    don't feel bad, it's chopin.

  • great animation

  • So mathematical...thank you!

  • Seria interesante tomar un mapa del universo y ver que música nos da.

  • @TheCompele It would be interesting to take a map of the universe and see that music gives us.

  • so beautiful

  • look at the animation the whole time an d then stop it.

    isnt it an optcal illusion?

  • this video is trippy

  • One Word:

    Perfect!

  • bleah

  • thanks for this i always play it when i feel bad by anything, goood

  • Strangely, I love this "interpretation"...

The piece totally sounds like a music-box melody, so it matches perfectly with this totally mecanical sound.

The audio quality is bad, true, but there is deffinitely beauty in there.

Maybe it's the best interpretation you can have of this piece...

You should definitely do a better audio version of this one... it's one of the biggest hits for "chopin" in youtube.

  • it sounds like a real perfomance!

  • im actually deaf in both ears and now that i found your videos i dont have to hear i can see and its beautiful

  • This video is perfect people.

please enjoy it instead of saying stupid stuff about what color the notes of diffrent keys should be.

  • Fuck everyone who criticizes this. Speaking as someone who never majored in music, this is beautiful. Great job.

  • You know what would be cooler?

Get an original recording then use the MIDI file just for the visualisation and sync it up with the recorded version manually, note by note.

  • @hazymat I do that on a lot of my videos.

  • @hazymat Don't you find starting a sentence such as that somewhat rude? At least would interpret it as such. Maybe an alternative could help.

  • @MrAgnost I've no idea what you are talking about. My opener was "you know what would be cooler". i.e. that I find this video cool, but had an interesting idea for an alternative. I'm pretty sure nobody would interpret it otherwise...

  • @hazymat I don't care what you say.

    This is incredible.

I would never have thought of this in a million years.

  • it's just like how Austria played it :,) but this ones better

  • Parecen las constelaciones de la belleza ...

  • Hi mrs Corkum

That was a boring video it mad me sleep

  • This music is just so... wonderful... you can imagine your self in a wide field with a full moon up in the sky

  • i think you should have another color to separate the tritone from the minor second/major seventh.

  • @joelhhh I agree; I chose those colors many years ago, when I was displaying this on a television, where it was hard to get colors that were enough different from each other to be distinguishable.

  • the geometric shapes r so cool!

  • took my breath away

  • nice idea of visualizing !

  • Thanks for this... so beautiful to watch... that I see the screen still sliding afterwards.

I like this version more =)

  • 4:00 is breath taking

  • sounds like he's playing plastic.

  • arpeggio lato meraviglioso

  • This way of piano-playing sounds very static and unemotional to me. The piano-sound is awful.

  • @funklover24 Did you not read the note at 0:09?

  • @smalin love you

  • @funklover24

What I most like about this suposedly non-emotional performance is exactly what I was looking for: rest my mind and brain. The geometric figures are beautiful.

  • Chopin siempre será Chopin, un genio de la música, esta pieza particularmente es perfecta, en tonalidades tan suaves y suntuosas como la seda y tan romanticas y grandiosa como una hermosa catedral o una alta montaña.

  • I hate to say this about Chopin.... But I can't listen to this song without thinking about the sound Mario Brother's makes every time I collect a coin.....

  • @fillupsherman nooooooooooo now i hear it tooo

  • the MAM is simply one of the best classic MIDI visualizer. I also created a similar piece but with Processing.

  • @hck112 Have you posted videos to YouTube?

  • Excewllent.

  • i´m not sure, it sounds like "the Pianist" version from the same movie. isn´t that right?

  • @altairpredalien yes! yo're right

  • @altairpredalien "the pianist" has a lot of Chopin's music. :)

  • Amazing. Reminds me of constalations!

  • it reminds me of the '80s

  • have you coded that MAM_Player?

  • @amrosik I wrote the current version of the MAMPlayer in 2006.

  • @smalin wow, how long did it take? and how can you encode midi files?

  • @amrosik I probably spent a day on this, altogether. The performance was created as a MIDI file.

  • @smalin By the way, your program is wonderful. It would be great if you show me somehow how you coded that basically.

  • @amrosik There is nothing special about my software. Any programmer who can write graphics software and who is familiar with the specification for MIDI and MIDI files could duplicate it easily.

  • @smalin i am not familiar with the specification for MIDI files

  • @smalin thats why i should maybe open up a new tab, and use google.

  • dear smalin,i think this program its very interesting and you should not worry about these troll like comments

and i think that program you used for showing intervals can be real helpful

    continue posting great music :)

  • extasis total senti al ver y oir esa buena interaccion de sonidos colores y figuras, a punto de ser sinestesico.

  • i love all the uploads, ignore the haters and keep em comin!

  • amazing

  • yust listen to the musik.. dont look at the video

  • Does anyone else hear (in some parts) part of Charlie Brown Christmas in a minor scale??? :D :D :D

  • Well, I'm quickly moving on to a real version. This hurts the ears.

  • Very interesting application. This is truely an art! Bravo.

  • What the hell! And I was on a Peanut Butter Jelly Time video, whooaa this is really what, related can lead to.... I'm lost

  • This feels a bit sloppy, but it's actually very fitting to Chopin.

  • ma che è sta porcheria??

che senso aveva farlo suonare da un computer??

  • I think there are a lot of retarded comments on here from people who are ignorant of clever programming and the service someone is doing by posting something educational a little differently. I'm a computer programmer and I appreciate the elegance of the algorithms here. Also when you read that this was written in the 80's that's quite impressive.

  • Kandinsky would be mad if he saw a job like that! xD

  • sea lo que sea, es algo inigualable la música, tan profunda como las mismas notas, majestuosidad, belleza y dulzura.

  • En vois un qui a compris que la musique et la géométrie étaient la même chose, ouf !

  • non ci sono parole

  • Actually, i didn't notice it was MIDI.

  • ja pierdole... odpływam jak to słucham.. Chopin rządzi!!!!!!

  • If you suddenly pause the video, it looks, like the picture is moving to the right

  • very intresting aproach for the intervals!

you have programmed it to match every interval of every note with any other according to its duration?

by the way very nice !

  • Beautiful song, and the animation is very interesting. Simple yet hypnotic . Well done!

  • Why do you upload this computerized crap? That's not art.

  • @RedRiverUnderTheMoon Please re-read the note at 0:10 ...

  • @smalin ignore those retard comments about the animation u have put.... :)

  • @smalin where's the like button to your reply :)

  • @RedRiverUnderTheMoon its put on there so my eyes won’t get jealous of my ears

  • @RedRiverUnderTheMoon Not to be rude, but who are you to judge what is or indeed is not art?

  • @RedRiverUnderTheMoon Wow, man, that is incredibly ignorant of you calling this man's work "crap". And who the HELL are YOU to determine whether or not something is art?

  • @RedRiverUnderTheMoon

Everything you see on the computer screen is computerized, crap or not what makes your assume he thinks its art? at least he has the brains to do the progamming required to animate the music and share it with the rest of us, how about you show us some of your 'art' instead trying to belittle someone you dont know

  • @RedRiverUnderTheMoon thats bull man...this is a great visual to interpret interval types according to the notes and the key signature

  • @RedRiverUnderTheMoon

geez. why are you so mad

  • @RedRiverUnderTheMoon, I think this "computerized crap" IS art, I think math is pretty!

  • @RedRiverUnderTheMoon No, it's not art, but it surely is some example of illustrating music as charts or diagrams and stuff. This is also used for deaf people, when artists want to let them feel what emotions music carry, and if there are people who can feel those emotions through the music, there also may be some people, who can feel the same emotions through this kind of charts.

  • @RedRiverUnderTheMoon sorry man but you seem not to notice that these are the notes , it is in my point of view a great way to study the movement and variation of the musical piece for example notice between 1:17 and 1:25 the movment of the harmonic notes (starting with a "dominant " space and going down the scale to reach the sensible note than the notes are closing back on each other to reach the disharmonic notes "seconde" amazing chopin music (courant romantique).

  • @RedRiverUnderTheMoon You meet the nicest people on YT........

  • @RedRiverUnderTheMoon ....for some people it is...or is this site totally dedicated to your pleasure?

  • @RedRiverUnderTheMoon

    Wow.

    Um

This is how autistic people see the world.

    Easy to knock others work......

  • @RedRiverUnderTheMoon

Did you noticed the "small" note before the music starts?

    Wtf...

  • @RedRiverUnderTheMoon

    dumb ass
