It may be the boss in his words, but the XJ I personally believe is a better car to look at. The BMW 7 series I prefer over the S-class as it looks more up to date. The S-class looks boring and dated and sure, it does everything one needs, but it's just far too expensive and I would need more persuation than the many options to even tempt me to buy one.

Google 'W222 S-Class', you will see a pic of the upcoming interior. Even the steering has two spokes :[ Mercedes know how to build a good car but they try too hard to be clever and ruin its appeal.

im whippin the 2009 s550 4matic and ive drove a 2007 750i and i have to say the benz is a much better car...not hating the feel and drive and smoothness is something else in the benz...the bmw interior is very confusing to use and is more sporty if thats what youre going for...just my opinion

The difference is that you sit in the back seat of a Phantom, but it isn't that fun to drive one. The S-class, 7 series, A8 are cars that focus on the ultimate driving experience as well as comfort for the one behind the wheel.

Even though i am not really a huge fan of the new s class, its still better then that god awful frog looking thing BMW calls the 7 series. As for the XJ, there's no competition, jaguars are just plain bad cars for reliability and the audi a8 is nice just not on the same level as this.
