thats some mighty fine driving from the startlet. I've got a blacktop 20v 4age and i must say i never expected a little 1.6L to pull so FUCKING hard. it can and will out-run some turbo's (small ones lol) gonna have to head down to timaru now ^^

very nice driving , i particuly liked the little smile that crept up on you face when the R32 pulled away at one point on the straight as you knew you had him in the next corners ...pity car makers dont make stratos reaching little rev engines anymore ..that the average joe can shoe horn into a sleeper. Nice vid , please add some more as much as i love my Nissans Skylines , i love little cars / big car slayers more.

Hi There my car is N/A, no turbo in that engine!

The skyline is slow in the corners and under braking, but has turbo power in the straights.

I love Toyota too especially the Blacktop Engine I have one in an AE111 Levin but it seems as though the Skyline has better acceleration (0:22) and that pass the Starlet made was clearly the driver capitalizing off a mistake by the Skyline - he entered the turn a little too wide and he allowed the starlet in without forcing himself in on the starlet (1:09). The Starlet is smaller P:W should be better since the starlet is turboed (which it sounds that way) it would also love those tight turns

@BKamron hahaha the nimble starlet capatilized, not on a mistake, but the skylines heavy weight and need for earlier braking. also the starlet is n/a and that whizzing noise your hearing and thinking that is turbo noise is most very probably a sequential gearbox (with straight cut gears)

Skylines have lag there turbo doesnt kick in until 3500rpm, so u can see why the starlet had it on the corners still seemed a quick skyline low. Supra's different one turbo kicks in at 1500rpm n the other higher up n with the vvti included it had 0 lag power from 1200rpm.

Great car, great race....can you give me an idea of the spec on that engine, i wanna build one like that.....the skyline had great straight line speed but the starlet did well on the corners & did a great job to stay behind on the straightaway

But usually turbo's are more powerfull, while he was racing the 4age he would have been in the powerband nearly always so it'd boost him a bit more than a supercharger.

@jimtune311 oh nice! you must be pushing 250hp in that high revving little bastard, very nice driving mate, althought i think that ,that skyline isnt at its full potential and the guy behind its wheel doesnt know how to drive it, i just got myself a kp60,i am thinking of going with the 3S-GE engine,the extra 400cc will give me more torque and some good power levels with slight mods, any suggestions on the sld, transmission and engine generation i should go with? cheers in advance for your reply

@panoulis20 3S-GE's are pretty shit mate, get a 4A-GE, the Formula Atlantic like this guy's running costs a bomb, but is a beautiful piece of engineering. Look for a 4A-GZE, or a 20v of some kind(I like Silvertops, stronger, and only a little less power). My 4A-GTE 20v is almost done, except the oil pump shit the bed the other day, loading it onto the trailer to take it for a tune! VVT will give you better torque than a non-VVT 4A-GE I reckon. Can't go wrong with a 20v, or a modded GZE.
