This is the game that David Beckham earned my respect. As Motson said, he played Greece on his own and was fantastic the whole game. Then, the pressure... GOJOSHUAA147 is right. I was in the pub and said "If we ever need you Becks, it's now". I have NEVER heard a cheer like it, not even at a game with 40,000 plus people. I think the pub needed a new roof. Fucking awesome - and not long after the German game either
