  • Lets just say that I'm about to be screwed in a very uncomfortable place..

  • Kevin Smith confirmed that the "End is Near" sign was a reference to The Watchmen's, Rorschach holding a sign that read "The End Is Nigh".

  • I used to have a major crush on Jay...

  • weren't these guys on degrassi?

  • @xxbunnysmashxx YES! My two favorite things collided on that amazing day :D.

  • kevin smith is a genius

  • A music video about how to make a music video? lol?

  • I totally want to learn how to dance like Jay :D badass

  • I almost cried while watching this, so much nostalgia. Love this movie. A part of my teenage life :)

  • haha gotta be the best thing ive seen this week! =D

  • I used to do this dance with my friend in High School... I was Jay... I miss it

  • Did anyone else get the Rorschach reference?

  • Yes.

  • where?

  • At about 1:10, 'Bob' walks out with a "The End is Near" sign. Rorschach's 'disguise' in the comic/novel was as an indigent walking around with a "The End is Nigh" sign.

  • Dozens of bums walk around with similar signs in real life. It's impossible to know if it was specifically a Watchmen reference or not.

  • Seein as how much of a comic buff he was/is - and the film was about comics heavily - I'll vote for the Watchmen ref.

  • It's possible. But it's really not a Watchmen unique thing.

  • its a reference from Bob Dylan - Subterranean Homesick Blues

  • Yup, first thing that came to my mind when I saw it XD

  • Is the song a cover by New Found Glory?

I have the song which says it's by NFG.

    But then who's the singer?

    Any idea, anybody?

  • This isn't New Found Glory, it's a tie-in video for Mallrats, which released around '95. I seriously doubt that band was around then.

  • its by the goops
