More monsters= Greater Replay Value

Tri lacked a lot of monsters, the good thing about it though was the online server which really did make up the game for lacking of monsters(no stupid AD-Hoc bull shit)

Though you look at 3rd and you start to wonder "Is the PSP stronger then the Wii?" Its much more polished and more detail was added

I found Monster Hunter 1 for playstation 2 about 6 years ago and i still play it, but when i found out a new one was coming out i had to cheak it out. when i saw some of thease videos i was so excited. i have not bought it yet but i am going to i hope it doesent disipoint me because if it does i will go back to my playstation.

@wardog1236 Slash Axe was the name given to it in Japan while it was coming out over there. Some people just got accustomed to the name I guess, I even had trouble trying to get used to calling it Switch Axe after it's name was changed for the English version.

ok since i'm a rookie i need help. I have just defeated Barroth offline and am on 1 star online. I usually use light bowgun/bone switchaxe (though i can use s & s and lance). I also use full jaggi armour for both. What armour and weapons are a good choice next? Online i take far too many big hits so what armour? Also, what is an easy way to make money, since i run out of potions far too quickly for my liking.

Though I think you have an egg gathering mission. If you have that do that mission. They are probably the best when it comes to collecting funds.

@zuser You have to defeat the Gobul offline before you can forge it offline. It unlocks 2 LS (the "katana" you speak of) in the forge; The Anata Boneblade, and the Wyvern Blade "Fire"

i think sns is the better for me cuz if i get guard + i can easy solo all monsters including jhen. you could add more images or even few clips of the gameplay of each weapon, in gs you get 4-5 images and others you only got 2-3...

Yeah I have freedom. I Recently got to the Urgent level quests realizing that Freedom has many more monsters. Its really upsetting to see how lazy capcom was with this.

Look at the PSP version. It may not be as sharp, but it still looks impressive.

Over 50 monsters and many types of armor and more weapons and they managed to put it into the PSP. So why not the Wii? I mean the graphics are nothing. That is PS2 capabilities.

@vidman293 well as in the alatreon defense says 70 but it has very bad elemental resistance for example if you got hit by an ice attack then you would take a lot of damage if your armor says ice - # but if that number was + # then you would take little damage

@superlammax Oh, K thanks heaps, Im now working on the quests. Almost up to level two quests. I jst love the online play. One last thing, I started upgrading my sword and sheild with bone because the attack level is so high but when ever i attack a monster it says weapon power decreased so i always have to use witherstones during battle however i started up upgrading my iron ore sword andsheild and it is heaps durable but less attack, I think. So what should i upgrade/forge with, Bone or irone?

My favourite weapon. When i started to play Monster hunter ( on my psp: Monster hunter freedom/freedom 2/Unite) it was Great Sword and it still is GS :p

£I used other weapons too but still...

The GS has an enormous Attack power and it isn't a slow as lance :p

(maybe attacking with a lance is faster but drawing weapon and sheating it is slower then Gsword)

But everyone has their own opinions :p
