They don't stop in the middle and ask for cookies. I'm so tired of all the negative feelings about rewarding horses with treats. People have been brainwashed into thinking it doesn't work and should never been done.
@Cheriec11 The meaning of this video was to demonstrate the horse's personality. The whole hour before they were riding like pro, pleasure to watch and never making any stops for cookies. You think too low of horses. Horses are not robots, and they don't need to be used like soulless machines. Sour, dull and non-emotional horse will more likely to stop or react badly in the middle of the test.
@treasureisland970 It is never good to assume you know what someone thinks. I actually think quite highly of horses. They are smarter than a lot of the humans that handle them. Since I have observed many occurances of horses stopping to demand their treat in the middle of something because of owners who use food reward excessively I had enough understanding to base my comment on. It is in fact quite possible for a horse to be happy and enjoy his work without the expectation of a food reward.
Wonderful video and he obviously thinks he is doing a good job! Keep up the good work and keep on keeping with those cookies! :)

All quite funny until you are in the middle of a test and your horse stops and demands his cookie.
