  • Very informative video.

Metriks' FCE software allows the healthcare professional to objectively quantify and report on a person's functional abilities.

  • These two videos show simple, safe exercises to strengthen the hip abductors and hip external rotator muscles that may help to stabilize the knee. These exercises can usually be done in the acute phase, if the knee is still sore. Apply ice to a knee that is hot, red, swollen or tender tot he touch.

  • are these good for the vastus mediallis oblique (vmo) to even out unbalanced hips?

  • @finalresistance Great question - knee pain may derive from hip movement dysfunction - especially in athletic populations. Specifically, weakness of the hip abductors and hip external rotator muscles can cause "knee valgus" or "knock knees" (where the knees touch together or move inward during step down and landing).

I will attach videos showing safe exercises for the hips which can be done if the knees are painful.

Squats, lunges and weightbearing exercises are good if you have no pain.
