...Weren't hybrid color cards introduced before these sets? The Ravnica, Dissension and Guildpact sets. So why make a video introducing them for these new sets when they were introduced already? I don't get it.
@DungeonCrawlerTim I don't really know about MtG sets but you might be thinking of cards that are mixed colour but the costs themselves aren't melded together, so like a green/white card that costs a white mana and a green mana.
I bought my first set of cards today, an eventide set consisting of Blue and green mana, havent had the opportunity to play with anyone yet, but my cards look good
I got the demonic vs divine 2day coms with one balck deck and one white deck one of the demos is 9/9! awesome! im thinking of combining them but im not sure how pla help me anyone
hey man Magic is a fun game to play so look up vids on youtube or if you can call your local comic shop and see if they have days wher people come in and play magic that is my best bet to learning the fast way if they do have a magic night go there and look around and meat people that would be willing to teach you
well i would keep them serperate because they are both OK decks but if your friend wants to play or start playing its a great way to learn.
if you plan on doing tournaments with them don't even think about it because in the white deck there are a fair amount of illegal cards and almost all the cards in the black are illegal
@AnimeFreak84853 You REALLY need to know what you're doing when you combine enemy cards into 1 deck, so I would suggest a lot of practice with each. Plus a handful of hybrid's.
i need a pro, or someone who bought or really know Shadowmore, Eventide and Shard of Alara editions, i really need to know wich on of them is "better" i mean in what edition, inside a boster almost 10 of 15 cards are useful, and not useless i mean, in shards of alara the "triple color" thing make the most of the cards usable "ONLY" in three color decks, so i need to know what edition has more useful cards in every combination and deck.
i disagree. I think that Eventide is one of the best sets especially for five color deck players like me. They make getting cards out ALOT easier and ive actually put together a whole deck of just hybrids with no color theme ( just all my good hybrids ) and it works amazingly well
I realized that after going up against a mono white Nightsky Mimic build.
I did not even notice the Mimics at the time of the post. (T2 Nightsky, T3 Edge of Divinity, T4 Unmake+Path To Exile, T5 Deathbringer Leige...and shows a hand with another Nightsky and Oblivion rings...ow.)
Eventide has one card that I've found invaluable if you have it and a downright annoyance if your opponent has it... Unmake!
Personally, I've stuck with a modified Aura Mastery deck (Shadowmoor), but with a number of Eventide and Bant (Shards of Alara) cards mixed in as well.
What deck you choose depends mostly on your playing style. For me, my deck consists of a lot of spells, including ones that cancel enemy spells (to stop creatures coming into play). Find what works best for you.
Nice vid. I'm just now getting into MTG, and my boyfriend is picking up after letting it go a few years ago. So we both have some catching up to do. Just wanted to ask if anyone could recommend a site or video that helps with setting up and building up a good library. I just picked up the Time Spiral tournament pack and two Nemesis boosters. My boyfriend just got a Shards of Alara tournament pack with Stoic Angel (I hate him). Think anyone can help? Thanks! :)
the store I go to now have lost 8 magic players, due to the limited decks ppl can play, like farie or elves. Soon Shard will comes out and drives more players out due to the $30-$100 Mythic rare. I can see this store will be closing by new year.
You just need to adjust. This right now is an aggro format. I mostly beat fairies and elf with pyroclasms and global kill. I am guessing that shards will not have 100 dollar rares. Mythic rares have always been there they were just rares that were harder to find like akromas, wraths, or kokushos. I know people get frustrated by net deckers but you need to always remember that any cards can win. I have top 4ed for 5 weeks strait with Giants!
That's what I found unique. The hybrid are enemy colors. This opens new possibilities! All the healing of White and the death of black might be a powerful combo when used correctly.
The Orzhov Syndicate was fun, but I like the Eventide black/white more. With it's low average cost, it makes a standard 20 land deck perfect for paying Retrace costs of Raven's Crime and stuff like that.
Red/White RULES
i play 3 of 5 decks white/red and they make fun to play!

It depends, I personally think Lorwyn is the best due to its "Tribal" theme, and Even tide helps but is not that good in my oppinon.
