There is a piece of footage on the 2-DVD Criterion Collection release of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. There is a whole documentary around a 45-ish looking Hunter, called F&L (abbr) on the Road to Hollywood, made around the shooting of Where the Buffalo Roam, starring Bill Murray.

Also, Hunter always wanted Jack Nicholson to play as him because they were close friends and neighbors.
