Learning a song by ear and playing by ear is different I just realized. I can play any song by ear somehow, i just memorize the piece extremely easily. Learning a song by just listening to it however...

@mrblessed58 Sorry to be so late replying! I'd say that repetition is the key for the left hand that's hard to get along with.  Many times, I tell my students to play the left hand and have some one sing or sing while you play. This gives the brain a chance to focus on the left hand only! Let me know if I can help in any other way.
