Learning a song by ear and playing by ear is different I just realized. I can play any song by ear somehow, i just memorize the piece extremely easily. Learning a song by just listening to it however...
good day. I am a 40-yr old housewife from the philippines. ur video is one of the firsts i browse in the net. My husband recently bought an organ/ keyboard for our kids but we cannot afford for their lessons. this video with "amazing grace' seems simple. we hoped we could master it. cud u make more? "Lead me Lord" perhaps? looking forward. thank you and God bless.
Hi great instruction. The thing I noticed was you played the melody note a tad before the chord, It sounded great, is this the way most professsionals play, such as yourself.
@mrblessed58 Sorry to be so late replying! I'd say that repetition is the key for the left hand that's hard to get along with. Many times, I tell my students to play the left hand and have some one sing or sing while you play. This gives the brain a chance to focus on the left hand only! Let me know if I can help in any other way.
hey i am a piano player i played for 3 yrs and i know how to read music and i know how to play piano and i know the cords but my left hand i always had problems can you make a video of a elton john song and show how its done with the lef hand i would like to here it

Thanks, that helped a lot.
I've gotten stuck in this same ole stride style and all of my songs sound like I'm playing in a honky tonk.
