  • Learning a song by ear and playing by ear is different I just realized. I can play any song by ear somehow, i just memorize the piece extremely easily. Learning a song by just listening to it however...

  • im trying to find out how you know what chord to play on the left hand

  • the one after that...it contains an accidental (a flat)

  • wuts the chord starting at 5:48?

  • @shariwalters1 It is A minor. (LH A-C-E)

  • Your delivery is very good. Some other video instruction video could lean from you. This is very good. Thanks. Keep them coming............

  • how can you keep both different rhythms going?? it is so hard for me even though i practice!! :'(

  • good day. I am a 40-yr old housewife from the philippines. ur video is one of the firsts i browse in the net. My husband recently bought an organ/ keyboard for our kids but we cannot afford for their lessons. this video with "amazing grace' seems simple. we hoped we could master it. cud u make more? "Lead me Lord" perhaps? looking forward. thank you and God bless.

  • Thanks! BTW – you can learn to play the piano in half the time with new gadget that reads MIDI files.

    Google “Gizmag and PianoMaestro”

  • Im just learning the piano, great sight thanks !

  • sooooo helpful

  • I LOVe YOU!! THank you SOO MUCH!

  • PianoFellow for President ! ....

  • @ansh4real Thanks! Glad you liked it. Be sure to subscribe as there will be more videos coming down the pipe soon!

  • Hi great instruction. The thing I noticed was you played the melody note a tad before the chord, It sounded great, is this the way most professsionals play, such as yourself.

    Thank You Again.

  • @nottyash100 Sure, that's something you can do to get that "syncopated" sound! Thanks for writing!

  • Thats Amazing Grace

  • What left hand exercises can I do for my coordination? You make it look soooo easy

  • @mrblessed58 Sorry to be so late replying! I'd say that repetition is the key for the left hand that's hard to get along with. Many times, I tell my students to play the left hand and have some one sing or sing while you play. This gives the brain a chance to focus on the left hand only! Let me know if I can help in any other way.

  • @mrblessed58 Czerny exercises are very good and effective. opus 299 for example

  • awesome

  • How do you learn to keep the beat?

  • I love your method, very, very good, thank you Matthew.

  • Thanks, that helped a lot.

I've gotten stuck in this same ole stride style and all of my songs sound like I'm playing in a honky tonk.

  • good advices ! :)

  • What song?

  • excuse me but what can you tell me the notes in playing this(left and right hand)....

thank you very much by the way your vid is amazing.... i love it
