‘Canny’ linguistics lesson fox. I’m from NE England and when I was 8 I went to London and was totally baffled by THEIR strange accent. Especially when spelling my name (Shaun) they pronounce ‘A’ as ‘oi-eye’. Cockneys vowels (A,E,I,O,U) go like this: OI-EYE,EE,Ay,Aw,YAoo

Also I’ve noticed that Americans pronounce O as 'Ar' , so the word Office sound like 'Arffice'.
