  • This dude is a hack ass cobbler

  • @medjur67...that don't touch the metal with you bare hands is vo-tech shit that you need to throw out the window their is a lot of truth behind that dude but its impractical to feel your work with anything but your bare hand (you need to feel the metal) their is proper ways to prep the metal for mud after you touch it with your greasy hands but you need bare hands to get a real feel...

  • i think it was good. he just seemed flustered. early 90's videos are hilarious.

  • He should of at least cut out the rust and hanging pieces of metal!!! Why couldnt he just replace the fender?? You should also never touch any bear metal or anything your painting without gloves!!

  • @medjur67 why replace a entire piece when u can pop in some bondo,,,its only a small area...chill homes

  • @ 3:20 ready for primer!? those edges are casting fucking shadows!!

  • O my God WHAT A FUCKING NOOB!

  • Never use bondo to fill in a hole! I can't believe this video, I mean using bondo after welding and to even out the metal is one thing but to fill in a large hole in a body panel?

  • he forgot to water sand primer with some finer grit WEAKO CHEAPO!

  • so he cool drity dont care forget

  • bondo...bondo, bondo. bondo...

  • well all you guys are a bunch of morons....first of all if u can afford a body shop great good for you.. theres no reason for u to be looking at bondo restoration.. second.. what the hell is the difference if it used in a honda or a camaro rust=rust.. third.. stop biegn wise apples cuz if you took ur car 2 a body shop is cuz u couldnt do it urself now stfu and stop hating

  • i dont think that is his car.if it was. i think he would take it to a body shop

  • You guys are awsome. Just a few things. On the front gard repair would it be wise to put a layer of fiberglass on the back of the gard to stop it from rusting out from the other side? Also on the rear gard the rust out area seems to have weakened the integrity of that area. Would it not have been better to cut and weild a new peace into this area for strenght?

  • you should always cut out rust and weld sheet metal where the rust used to be. filler should only be used to adjust your welded metal to the shape of the car, and even then the metal should pretty much already be close to its final shape. just very light coats of filler

  • this video is bullshit

  • why dont you put a new wing on it or weld a plate on it you twat

  • Suck a dick fat Fuck

  • why can't you use cardboard???? What is wrong with that???

  • cardboard absorbed the solvents in filler or something like that and the little fibers in it stick in the filler you can use plexi-glass or some scrap steel to mix up your filler

  • This a good way to do it . My popa did body work at leat for 45 years and he own his own body shop

  • I BET THAT WILL COME BACK IN A MONTH A ROT REAL FAST LOL.. You might as well use duck tape lol. ok i cant beleave this. and expecialy showing other people that dont know. atleast make a metal patch panel and weld it in.Bondo brand is junk buy Evercoat. no profesional body shop uses red bondo brand. It will cost moor in the long run to take that shit off. Fucking hack

  • OK i DO RESTORATIONS FOR A LIVING. ARE YOU KIDDING ME. That will really make it rust holding moisture. Just replace the panal. why wast your time?? Paint is expensive. YOU CAN NOT STOP RUST UNLESS YOU CUT IT OUT. RUST IS CANCER. SANDBLASTING GRINDING AND BONDO JUST BUYS LITTLE TIME TILL YOUR PAINT BLISTERS AND YOU ARE FUCKED.THIS GUY IS A HACK, AND IS NO BODY MAN A RED NECK BACK YARD BODY MAN. A GOOD REPAIR

LOL.BUY A FUCKING QUARTER IF YOU HAVE A NUFF SENCE TO PUT ONE ON

  • NO, FUCK YOUR FAT ASS

  • @woodzo40 Ok. Do you know good videos on this? I would like to know how hard it is to do a solid mud job on a quarter panel vs replacing the entire panel with a new one. I don't know howto replace panels. Where should I start? I know computers. If you help me I will fix your caps-lock key.. LOL I'm totaly joking. I get that your trying to make it clear that this guy is misleading people into thinking you can spend 1 weekend and "fix" your beater. I expect a long arduous road ahead for me.

  • this poor camaro why couldnt they have used a fart pipe honda

  • @86camaromike because only mullet sportin' camaro owners would do this to their cars... people with honda's are too smart to do this

  • @Theos92vr4 Hey thats your thought the shop i work at alot of import owners want us to paint or finish their cars and i see alot of this stuff and some things you cant even think of and dude not all camaro owners sport mullets im one of them that dont but you are probably one of those honda owners that loves his car and takes care of it if you got offended by that comment then my bad

  • @86camaromike i dont even own a honda you dumbass

  • @Theos92vr4 Then whatever it is that you own calm down man

  • @Theos92vr4 whats wrong with bondo body filler, some people are loaded and cant afford to fix it using metal....

  • @idodonuts the reason being is because you want to remove all rust completely. hes simply "lightly sanding" and then bending it inword. bondo works great for dents, but large holes from rust bust be removed. lets say you get all this work done, car gets painted white. any trace of rust under the paint will rust back through and you will have a "coffie" stain on your car

  • @kazanyemmi o ok but what about small rust areas that have been replaced with metal?

  • @idodonuts what do you mean? this guy didn't replace any rust areas with metal. thats how your supposed to do it. once the rust is gone you are better off welding a piece of metal on and then preping both sides to be clear from exposed metal. the fiberglass works too but its still vulnerable because of the chemicals in fiberglass can be acidic just like silicone. very bad for paint and metal.

  • a body shop quoted me 800 for rust repair that look like what this car has. I did a 250s merceds lots of rust around the moldings. 50 bucks later and patience im ready to paint. and i had fun....messing with my car.

  • this is nice classc car...

  • YOU GOT THAT RIGHT

  • glad that isnt my car. that car needs a patch panal not a gallon of bondo

  • @johnsont963 Do you know of some good videos showing patch panel work like your suggesting? I would like to see it to get an idea of what to do. By patch panel. Do you mean welding a piece onto the back as a plate to make sure no bondo is filling holes? Or do you mean cutting a piece out of the panel and then welding a piece flush into that hole. The later sounds pretty hard to do. Matching up a piece from a doner car to the original car. Thanks.

  • would that be por 15?

  • Wtf, do I see a hole at 8:54 ?!

  • Disregard this, he covers it with some other product.

  • What results? You mean it will rust ?

  • For sure. If your cars starts to rust, you need to completely cut away all existing rust, otherwise it will just start rusting again after a certain time.

  • Thanks man this will come in handy.

  • No problem, always glad to help.

  • That`s rubbish, it will continue to rust!

  • Why would it?He removed the rust.

  • I can`t see it clearly. It seems to me that there is still quite a bit of rust there.

  • @HelpSaveTheEarth2051 I require answers too. I'm actually trying to learn. A lot of ppl are just saying one-liners like something they heard talking shop at a bar. I need to know specifically where this guy is messing up. I do know that he can be grinding rust into the metal. Rust is like a cancer. it spreads. Also if he doesn't bondo nicely and lets car sit outsie. I could see probs in future. But I don't know anything.... I want to learn.
