@SmashCOBamberg - It should work as the CPU is able to operate like beeing an GenuineIntel or AuthenticAMD (default VIA Opcode is CentaurHauls - you should be able to set that up in the BIOS. but keep in mind that VIA GFX will just work in VESA mode.
ahh, nothing inspires hackint0shing like underpowered netbooks. you can play "pretend you have an ibook from 2002 but with a smaller screen and less attractive industrial design" xD
is it? is it really cheaper? ibooks aren't very expensive... you can get one with better specs than this for the price of a modern netbook. Or you could get a modern netbook which has higher specs than an ibook but generally less attractive. Either way, i have an acer aspire one running 10.5.6... so yeah
There is a way to get Atheros Wifi working, but only in Leopard 10.5.5 (not in Tiger or 10.5.6 or later). So you would gonna have to use an USB-Key or External HD if you don't want to change HW.
For 200 bucks plus another 129 for the OS, you get a sub-sub-standard Mac. Sure its interesting, but actually working on it would grow old damned quick.
Mr. Blue Sky is pretty cool though... nice memories.
i have run 10.4 at full speed in low-end powerbooks, and even in the lower (233mhz) it ran great! you will need at least 128 of ram, reccomended 192, and it will boot after install with 64 megs if you want to.
