I'm 13 and already thinking about becoming an architect (actually I'm dead set). I'd like to know what areas of math do we have to know in order to become a great architect. I have the imagination, believe me, and I am currently in 8th grade in Geometry. Am I on the right track? Anyway, please send me something back because I would really appreciate the help! Oh and be as descriptive or as brief as you feel like. Thank you!
whew im glad i found something to do with my life, architecture. Im arctistic, love creating things! And math and science, im not bad at it, but im not good either(: but im an overachiever sooo yea
@jackbrodie101 your lucky to be that age am 16 going on 17 youv got the time to study it all a gota rush if you live in the uk you can drop out of school at 15 but it is a (MUST) you go into college which then you can study and focus on the one thing you want to do :)
@MegaBonks Architecture is boring when you dont experiment with the materials and get dirty... but everybody has there own style, in my opinion computer is just the way most of architects like to PRESENT there ideas, but im sure that the dont do all the process in the computer.
i only have a question, how would you know if your idea wont collapse, because its a type of building with unique materials that has never been created before????
I disagree And beleive that texture ,contrast, traditional vs abstract and limitations of material procedures and proven and tested design make up the new wave of styles. You can come up with one hundred ways to describe the same thing . It was a great post thanks

'form follows function' or 'function follows form' ?
bwmak8 7 months ago
@bwmak8 that depends on the intended purpose of the environment you are designing based on the needs of the client.

Very interesting videos. I really like the way you present them and explain everything in detail.
Why do u name all the buildings that you showed in this video with flickr?
