  • Wow very very cool, check out our web site some time, its all about concrete pumps

  • Its really interesting. I canunderstand vertical columns by slip form or round silos but here even horizontal beams are also being done.Howis it different fromslipforming and I ahve a silo to be done in africa.

Can I get the address of this company that has done the job.

  • of course. we have made this tower in the last year, with sliding formwork. ow we finished a new again.

    our comapny named: altaform ltd.

  • Beremend city!xD

  • Interesting technology. Is the formwork actually moving steadily, or does it get jacked up after each layer of concrete sets?

  • hi!

its sliding continuously. the formwork is 1,25m high. at the start we wait that the first 20cm concrete sets, and then start sliding. until sliding there is always only 5-20cm set concrete in the formwork, above that is about 80cm not setted concrete, and the top of the formwork is always free, for the new layer of concrete. the system going up 2 centimetres each 5 minutes.

  • So, how is it moved? Does it push against the concrete below it? Is there a practical limit to the height of a structure you can cast this way?

    -jcr

  • There's no limit. If a crane or a winch and the concrete pump can lift up the steel teh concrete and the other things, than we can slide 2-300m high too, like chimneys, etc.

there is in each 1,5 metres an steel bar. on that moving the formwork with a lot of hydraulic press machine.

  • Beremend is the best

  • I'm proud of my brother.. :)
