It feels good and cleans out ear wax in a way that doesn't damage the ear (if done right... by someone who has experience doing it). You are quite ignorant. I'm sure he doesn't do it just Westerns, as ear pickers are very common in India and most parts of Asia. Such as China, Japan, Thailand, etc... And is becoming increasing popular in the USA.

What a load of bollocks. I told him no way was he getting 1500rps. That was a scam and I asked one of the locals about him, a guy I became friendly with in Janet & Johns and he confirmed this guy was a slimy scam. Some western people would be pretty intimidated and cough up the money.

He the proceded to insert an instrument without consent and rather forcibly whilst I read on the card 1 Stone, 500, 2 Stone 1000. So in sheer bewilderment I'm wondering what the feck is going on and low and behold - although he did remove some earwax, and also some 'earwax' (It had never come from inside my ear) he also began to remove little stones from my ear, claiming that they were from lying in the sand.

You haven´t a clue! Unlike most of the wannabe hippy trustafareans that go to India I actually took a deep interest in the culture. I learned to speak Hindi, I stayed in a hopital for 3 months where there were no other westerners I didnt stay to the hippy drug trail and I speak to friends in india on a daily basis. Your the one presuming and assuming. keep your negative projections to yourself and lighten up. Its ok to laugh with people.its ok to laugh at professional ear cleaning.its funny.

there are some horror stories bout the ear cleaners... some people found they'd lost their hearing when they went back. basically, they'll come and pretend to take some really huge thing out of your ear... and its really suspect. so, although its one of those kooky little things that makes india india and makes me love it so much, i'd still warn everyone to NOT take a chance with these guys.
