I bought this game last year. I almost wish I had tried it out when it first came out. I remember seeing some game footage on G4 (The old, BETTER G4) and was intrigued by it. This is one awesome game, just like the other Contra games (With the exception of the PS1 games).
3:21 has the BEST SOUNDTRACK I HAVE EVER HEARD IN MY LIFE. If you listen to the song :INTESTINES" from the Contra: Shattered Soldier soundtrack on a sophisticated sound system or have the base cranked up with your car stereo, it BOOMS. I love that song so much. It is so a compliment to Contra and Super Contra (Arcade). I love Contra so much!
sorry but how can u jump and shoot at same time? i couldnt hold that much buttons at the same time on my controller. plus how to walk backwards and knee while shooting up?
hahah some of those stage endings are a hearkening back to the original contra! So cool to see them "updated" like that. (E.g stage 1 with the tower and the last boss with the two arms [ he was the boss of the awesome waterfall level (level 2) in the original contra]
hi im a player of this game as well but i there is only 4 missions. do i hav to unlock them? what mission i need to do to unlock? and every time i saves my game it will override previous one so only 1 mission could be saved even though i finished all the missions. plz tell me how to get this level and dont worry about other questions

Actually it isn't, the last boss was from Super Contra, final boss of the arcade game and boss of stage 6 from the NES.

This game is called "Shin Contra" (known as "Contra: Shattered Soldier"), and is a PS2 game.

They didn't, Gryzor was only ever used as a title for the European releases of the arcade and MSX versions.
