The video sound doesnt really do them justice at all. Saw them two years ago at Universal and honestly they kicked ass! I may have been one of the youngest in the crowd but i loved it. Honestly... sounded better than any radio recordings.
Thanks for posting this! I just got to see them Friday night (Santa Rosa, CA), and was hoping someone had managed to record one of their previous shows! I recommend seeing them indoors next time they're near enough; starting with the pulsing red lights to the "heartbeat" (or the various other song-timed lighting effects) in a dark theater really adds to the experience.
Last saw Huey in San Francisco and his harp mic was fritzin-out on him. He's always been a soulful performer who gives it all he's got! When in Vegas, his band and him really KICK LARGE ASS!
Huey Goes through ALOT of Harp Mics. The Main "problem" is that He likes mics with Crystal Elements, which cant handle being thrown around and Dropped... and huey THROWS his mic Around ALOT...
huey is still so great !.. just saw him in wisconsin.. can't believe how many hits this guy has.. and huey can stil out perform ALOT of this young jackasses out there who have no idea how to entertain like this man does
Only a FOOL would think rock and roll is made by young musicians! ALL of the GREAT stuff was made by, recorded by and is still being played by OLD GUYS. They're the only ones who worked hard enough to learn how to play it!! Posers came along and now we see what that brought....ZERO is what! Dig it and shut up about OLD!!
@hmoogler -I agree that Huey's still great; but, your statement is wrong. Nearly all of the best rock & roll of all time was made by 20-35 year olds...( Huey was 33 when he released this tune. Plant was 20-24 when Zep released 1-4...Angus was 25 for Back in Black, all 12 original Beatles albums were out before Paul turned 30. Satisfaction released when Mick Jagger was 23. The Police, The Doors, Pink Floyd...the list goes on and on).
Huey is still awesome, but the best rock & roll is from 20-30.
Jesus to go from being on MTV and huge in the 80s to this picnic style concert must be devastating
It's toe curling stuff to watch this

If ittruly is hip to be square (and I have my doubts) then Huey is the coolest man on the planet.
