Gorillas DO sometimes regurgitate food on purpose to eat again, as part of their digestive process. It's not the same as vomiting and not a sign of illness. How do I know this? A sign at a primate zoo I often visit says exactly this, and advises people to stop moaning to the keepers that the gorillas are sick (in not so many words)

He wasn't sick though. It's alot like cows. The chew up their food and swallow, and regurgitate it back up if it wasn't chewed enough. Then they chew it again, swallow it down, and its easier to pass through their stomachs:D
