  • so where's the attack?

  • The turtle is trying to get away. This looks like harassment of an endangered species to me.

  • awesome fimling i must say it must be hard to film this... and i didnt know the fish follow them to, thought it was just sharks and whales, meh they probaly waited for her to lay eggs, then she got back in they jumped on her, or maybe itwas a male and thats why he can have them on him all the time...

  • Why is the other guy holding a harpoon?

  • Leatherbacks are dangerous? You're the one jumping in the ocean with a spear. Or perhaps you go confused and thought the word endangered meant dangerous.

  • this turtle did not attack you, that is rubbish.

and leatherbacks aren't that dangerous. silly.

  • Ok, so i can't own a freakin' red eared slider turtle where i live, but i can own THAT?!

  • Attack?

  • where is the "attack"? need a band-aid?

  • Now you know what the turtle feels like

  • at which point in the vdieo does it attack you?

  • I've pissed off a Hawaiian green sea turtle before I had mah camera and I was like "GIVE ME YO PIKCHAS!" he swam away and I chased after him taken pix as I went I was keeping up with him when he stopped and I nearly flew into him, he snapped at me then I figured I had enough sea turtle that day... But leather back sea turtles got a mouth looks like da krakens, teeth errywhere it's scary. I wouldn't have been surprised if you got mauled lol like they would.

  • awesome footage take that discovery channel

  • whats up with these fish under the turtle ?

  • @Newbpwng they clean it

  • Why did you have a speargun? That's why theyre endangered ass hole!

  • @Mitchimoom its not like THEY speared it and why do you think they have spearguns while freediving in the ocean?

  • @Mitchimoom agreed

  • @Mitchimoom dumbass its called spearfishing. They dont shoot the dam turtle they shoot fish. It was just a coincidence that this turtle showed up

  • @Mitchimoom are you retarded or something hes not shooting the turtle .and who the hell are you. another one self-riches people who think spearos are hurting the ocean

  • He's not attacking he's saying "Get these stupid freeloading remoras off me!! Help me out bud!!"

  • whyd you go near it leave the thing alone you know you'l get hurt.

P.S nhow woul like it if one of those hings followed you around.

P.P.S what did it ever do to you?

  • @Spyguy78 agreed.

  • Magnificent footage! Thanks, for posting!

  • Just don't disturb any animals in their enviremont..

  • if you fuck with anything long enough its bond to attack

  • to bad he didnt bite your face off for fucking with him you piece of shit

  • I didn't see an attack. I did see a leatherback taking more breaths than usual after being pursued. He should have attacked the dunderhead. Next time float and observe.

  • Love your footage. What set up do you film with?

  • The leatherback isn't pissed off by the remoras -the freeloading sucker fish that ride on its body - that's part of nature. This one was warning the diver to back off and get out of its face!

  • The Turtle is pissed cause all those sucker fish are on him, he's trying to get them off of him - he's had enough!... lol

No to mention a camera in his face, he hates the paparazzi too! XD

  • woah. its a turtle.

  • wow. consider yourself very lucky.

  • this is sad me and my cousin realy care for turtles

  • Leatherbacks have a sharp, serrated beak to eat jellyfish, but their jaw strength is pathetic, you can hold open their jaw one-handed and they can't close it. So they aren't really dangerous, just intimidating. Basically they don't need strength when all they have to do is cut through jelly.

  • ...and Plastic Bags floating around everywhere :(

  • damn these turtles are chillin with they underwater homies

  • and can i just say u got owned by one of the most endagered animals on the planet, be proud man

  • @SamTheFisherMan100 nope. gorillas are

  • leather turtles are the one of the most endagerd animals in the world DONT STRESS EM OUT

  • @SamTheFisherMan100

Please tell me you are joking lol. "Dont stress them out"????

Hahahaha you hippie bleeding heart idiot wimp. It's not like he's shaking a baby. Give me a break

  • Ive seen these cool turtles diving off Florida many times and I agree with dusty, this was not an attack but perhaps a warning, "quit following me around". Nice footage tho.

  • Fear the turtle! (Sorry, couldn't help but post a little U of Maryland reference.)

  • great vid! I love when she's going to bite :S

  • WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • that's cool...I think he was playing with ya....A creature who leads such a life of always being alone I bet he thought to himself, I'm gonna have a little fun with thing then move along...Any sea turtle is a cool thing to see.

  • crisp video ~ would love to put some music to this ... these turtles travel thousands of miles to feed & then return to nest on the beach where they were born ... & just for you ~ he or she made a detour! hehe ... U were lucky in more ways than one ...

  • great footage! good job :D

  • wow-beautiful

  • That turtle has got an attitude. it's got issues it needs to address.

  • "What an interesting way to lose a hand !"

fyi - no one loses a hand.

  • What an interesting way to lose a hand ! Chicks dig scars, right?

  • haha... it would be the most disgusting scar ever... leather backs have sharp teeth in their throat to help them keep jellyfish from swimming out of their mouths and throats

  • I study leatherbacks and not to be a smartass, but they don't have teeth, They have a backwards spind in their throught to help swallow jelly fish. ----- Araleyah R. age: 10

  • i bet they could still bite hard!! awesome video

  • So how long were you harassing the reptile before it decided to slap you with an injunction from mother nature

  • Cam, the nice turtle was just showing its affection for you, simply trying to give you a kiss.
