I've been following MMA for quite a long time. Karo is at a different level than Kim.

Kim is NOT an exceptional striker or submission artist. What does he have? Judo?

He is Korea's top MMA fighter, and he looked very solid and well rounded. I thought the translator was hilarious. I'm not sure if he understood Korean but, given that Dong Hyun said he wanted to fight GSP, and he left that part out was a good thing. I like that he has high hopes, but UFC fans really respect humbleness. Especially since most of them are crazy about GSP, it doesn't look good when you beat one guy and say you want to challenge the world champion.

Every welterweight in the UFC want to fight GSP to get the championship. Kim said he would like to fight GSP for the title one day, in a humble manner. The translator sounded to me to be Chinese; did you hear his accent?

How many times have you translated Korean on television? He was probably nervous; so he condensed Kim's statements? He sounded Chinese, too. Tan isn't great, but Kim has potential & he's only had a handful of fights. 4th degree Black Belt means something especially if he incorporates it well in fighting, then he can be great.

I want to see Kim fight Yoshida, Okami, Parisyan, Swick, Koscheck among others to gauge where he's at. Sure, don't get too excited, but don't be limp about him either.

Why's Okami in that list? He fights at 185 and he trains with DHK. A fight against Yoshida likely won't happen anytime soon as the UFC will try to build those two up to be legit contenders. I'll guess that Kim fights somebody like Goulet or Bielkheden next, then gets someone like Burkman or Swick before he's matched up against guys in the top 15 WW. But a DHK-Parisyan fight would be crazy to see because of the Judo skills of both. One day it probably will happen.
