I have a 10 minute loop of this song that I always play on my sets, its the part past 3:10 "higer than the suuuun" looped over and over. Always works!
One of the best songs from the best drug album EVER. To me Screamadelica was the sgt pepper of the 90's, I listened to that album religiously, like the american express manifest, "never leave home without it", which of I didn't.
Utterly fantastic. Why Gillespie settles for being a Rolling Stones tribute band when he was capable of this is beyond me but there you go - it rather makes it all the more special and worth treasuring
This was played at my friends funeral on Thursday, may every one that listens be touched by everything that made Tony Mudd such a wonderful man. RIP dude!!
i agree completelly... the song is able to transport me to elsewhere... makes me remember "lonely soul" by U.N.K.L.E.; the music video is not too fine, but the song is fabulous and sexy; truly like an obscene outside trip...
The only difference is that all men like backwards songs and girls like forward songs. Higher than the sun is forwards. Lonely soul is backwards and therefore not sexy. But understand if you don`t understand.
andy weatherall is responsible for making screamadelica one of the best albums in the last 30 years, without his production it woulda been primal screams old psychodelic rock sound.

i'd argue that singles aside screamadelica is a hugely overrated album, much better to go with vanishing point or xrmntr.
