And out of ALL the stuff we do to make it, writing is the easiest. It just comes to us. The toughest part? Animating the mouths. While we're not "Hollywood," it's not much different.

What about the cast, crew, back office, advertising/sales efforts, taxes, theaters, transport, profit which keeps the studio in business and the investors investing in these stinkers? Are you aware that every studio bases the film biz on a 20 film average? That means that only one out of every 20 films is profitable. So one film has to carry the financial load for 19 other financially losing projects: cast, crew, overhead, investment repayment, and everything else that goes into it.

As for musicians royalties, that would depend. What kind of deal are they making? Were they offered a larger sum up front without royalties, or a smaller sum up front with royalties. It's like the lottery. You pick the annuity or the cash option. You can't say you want the annuity AFTER you've won the lottery. And even then, YOU'RE the one who put out the $1 for the ticket in the first place.

First of all, writer's are not musicians. Musicians in that analogy would be actors. And when is the last time you went to a movie based on who wrote it? Uh huh. Thought so.

Musicians don't get royalties every time a song is played on Clear Channel -- the record labels do. Musicians, if they're lucky, get an advance from a label to put out an album. The royalties go toward the advance.  After the advance is payed up, some musicians may get a small percentage of the royalties, but labels get a majority of the money from radio stations playing songs.

I kind of have to split my opinion here. On one hand, I feel that you may be taking your opinion of the WGA strike over the line. Then again, you guys write, animate, voice, and direct all the War Dawgz. The WGA doesn't, so I guess you guys have quite a bit of arguing room. Also, any reason for 1 War Dawg a week 'till hell-only-knows when that doesn't involve criminal activity is fine by me!
