I'm not Muslim, but if you're using an NIV all you need to do is look at the many footnotes which are discredit numerous verses in it, including Mark 16:9-20 and John 7:53-8:11. When the publisher point-blank tells you they don't believe they had fully accurate manuscripts then why should anyone believe otherwise?

The Qu'ran itself sais that the Torah and Bible are the words of 'Allah', and that the words of Allah cannot be corrupted (ex. Qu'ran 6:34, 6.115, 10.64). Le me quote on for you:
"For them are glad tidings, in the life of the present and in the Hereafter; no change can there be in the words of Allah. This is indeed the supreme felicity," (10:64).
Therefore, any Muslim who says the Bible has been corrupted is going against what their own Qu'ran and Allah said.

@rudeboywaz That's not the point. The Qu'ran says that BOTH the Torah and the Injil are the words of Allah. And the Qu'ran then says that the words of Allah can never be corrupted. Hence the problem for muslims - they want that the Bible is corrupt, because it so clearly teaches the divinity of Christ, but they don't want to say it is corrupt, because Allah's words cannot be corrupted.

Then, several years after Muhammad's death, Zaid bin Thabit went and collected the verses on the order of Caliph Uthman from the followers - to then put them into writing. There is strong evidence that many verses were missed during this recollection process

The problem with the Qu'ran is that we know there are missing and lost verses, and we know that the chronology is incorrect. Hence we know it is a book highly edited by man.
The same is not true for the Bible as we have manuscript evidence going back thousands of years proving its authenticity and that the story has never changed.

I'm not Muslim, but if you're using an NIV all you need to do is look at the many footnotes which are discredit numerous verses in it, including Mark 16:9-20 and John 7:53-8:11. When the publisher point-blank tells you they don't believe they had fully accurate manuscripts then why should anyone believe otherwise?

So Muslims have to admit that the Bible is not corrupted. And if it is not corrupted, then they have to look at what it says - and if it says that Jesus is Lord and Saviour, then Islam must be false. Let's see:

If you want more examples of clear proof Jesus is God from the Bible read Matthew 12:8 where Jesus very clearly says He is the Lord of the Sabbath (i.e. the Lord of the Jews - Yahweh); or John 20:27 were Thomas recognizes Jesus is the God of the universe and Christ blesses Him for it.
Or how about Romans 9:5: Theirs are the patriarchs, and from them is traced the human ancestry of Christ, who is God over all, forever praised! Amen.

The divinity of Christ is perfectly established in the Bible by Christ's own words.

And it is Jesus Christ Himself that CLEARLY teaches His divinity. How much clearer than saying I AM LORD OF THE SABBATH AND JEWS, telling people that HE PRE-EXISTS THE WORLD, that He is THE ONE FROM ABOVE, ANSWERING PRAYERS, telling all He is the JUDGE OF HUMANITY AFTER DEATH, ACCEPTING WORSHIP AS GOD and BLESSING PEOPLE FOR SEEING HIS DIVINITY does it have to be for you to finally understand?

Don't believe me? I'll give you a clear example in a moment where Jesus accepts worship as God and blesses Thomas who sees it. If you still deny it then, then you're really just closing your eyes to reality.

It was written by Mark the Evangelist, who also founded the Church of Alexandria in Egypt. Mark was an Apostle of Jesus.

In Christianity, you have BOTH Christ's words and the history of the early followers to confirm its truth.
In Islam, you ONLY have Muhammad's words, who came over 600 years later and never met Jesus or the Apostles - and his words HEAVILY conflict both with the words of Christ, and the history that surrounds Him.

@rudeboywaz Muhammad's much later conflicting version is simply not based on reality. This may seem harsh to you, but really, look at the evidence with an open mind. Jesus proclaimed His divinity and proved it through His resurrection as recorded in the Gospels, and history proves all the early Christians were willing to die for it to proclaim it.
There's simply no way around it, at least in my opinion. It's the truth. Jesus taught it and proved it, and history validates it.

I gave you the verse were Jesus Himself very clearly says that He is the Lord of the Sabbath - i.e. the Lord of the Jews, who is Yahweh - and the verse were Thomas falls on his knees and accepts Jesus as the God of the Universe and Jesus blesses Him for it.

@rudeboywaz Christ claimed divinity and proved it through His resurrection, which is why all the early followers that saw Him rise were willing to die for Him to proclaim His message as the risen Lord.
Muhammad, who never met Christ or the Apostles, made another version over 600 years later that totally conflicts with the message of Jesus, the Apostles and the history that surrounds His resurrection.

The Qu'ran itself sais that the Torah and Bible are the words of 'Allah', and that the words of Allah cannot be corrupted (ex. Qu'ran 6:34, 6.115, 10.64). Le me quote on for you:
"For them are glad tidings, in the life of the present and in the Hereafter; no change can there be in the words of Allah. This is indeed the supreme felicity," (10:64).
Therefore, any Muslim who says the Bible has been corrupted is going against what their own Qu'ran and Allah said.

@rudeboywaz That's not the point. The Qu'ran says that BOTH the Torah and the Injil are the words of Allah. And the Qu'ran then says that the words of Allah can never be corrupted. Hence the problem for muslims - they want that the Bible is corrupt, because it so clearly teaches the divinity of Christ, but they don't want to say it is corrupt, because Allah's words cannot be corrupted.
So they're in a dilemma and kind of fail to answer it whichever way they try.

@rudeboywaz Did you even read my response? I explicitly told you that the Gospel of Mark was written less than 30 years after Christ's death and resurrection by Mark the Evangelist, who was an APOSTLE of Christ and the founder of the Church of Alexandria.
The Qu'ran was written down long after Muhammad's death, after it was collected by Zaid bin Thabit on Uthman's orders. The Qu'ran has verses missing, verses lost, chronology changed, and all original documents destroyed by burning.

@rudeboywaz The Qu'ran was in oral form for all of Muhammad's 23+ years of 'revelation' where the followers simply had to 'remember' the verses - and the hadith clearly states that many verses were forgotten during this time.
Then, several years after Muhammad's death, Zaid bin Thabit went and collected the verses on the order of Caliph Uthman from the followers - to then put them into writing. There is strong evidence that many verses were missed during this recollection process

Not only that, but the verses that you do have in the Qu'ran are now all in the wrong chronological order, due to Thabit collecting them not in order but simply where and when he could find them.
Uthman then burnt all other manuscripts that didn't correspond with Thabit's version, which is known as the great Qu'ran burning.

I just gave you clear evidence that both the followers and Muhammad forgot many verses when the Qu'ran was in oral form for 23+ years (Sahih Muslim 5: 2286; Sahih Muslim 4: 1720). In fact, it got so bad that Muhammad even said Allah wanted them to forget all those verses , despite being the one that alledgedly revealed them in the first place (Bukhari 6:51:559; Muslim 4:1726).

@rudeboywaz There's not different Bibles, there's just different translations. You've got the exact same thing in the Qu'ran when you translate it.
The problem with the Qu'ran is that we know there are missing and lost verses, and we know that the chronology is incorrect. Hence we know it is a book highly edited by man.
The same is not true for the Bible as we have manuscript evidence going back thousands of years proving its authenticity and that the story has never changed.

The Lord of the Sabbath is the God of the Jewish people. That's clearly stated in the Old Testament.
Jesus claims He IS the Lord of the Sabbath - hence He is claiming to be the God of the Jews.
He also accepts worship as God, makes it clear He is eternal, and blesses all who see His divinity.
Hence, His divinity is crystal clear and unmistakable.

The Lord of the Sabbath is the God of the Jews, it's in the Old Testament.
And the Son of Man, which is what Jesus repeatedly calls Himself, is the Messiah, who is God and whose Kingdom is an eternal one. Also in the Old Testament (see Daniel 7:13).

The Lord of the Sabbath cannot just be a creature. It is a title that is ONLY reserved for God - the Old Testament makes that perfectly clear. The Lord of the Sabbath is the God of the Jews.
Hence, anyone who claims to be the Lord of the Sabbath is claiming to be the God of the Jews in a very direct and unmistakable way. There really is no way around it.

The word used, mahammadim, is an ADJECTIVE that means delightfulness!
The same exact word is used to refer to a Jewish woman a few verses later.
Muhammad is NOT in the Song of Solomon, he is found nowhere in the Bible.
Muhammad's claims here are false, you know why? Because he lied here just like he did many other times such as thinking Mary is part of the Trinity

For the Qu'ran you've got:
- Verses missing
- Verses lost
- Chronology wrong
- All original documents destroyed
And yet Muslims try to somehow question the integrity of the Holy Bible, where we have historical manuscripts such as the Dead Sea Scrolls that predate Islam by over 750 years that show the story of the Bible is identical and has never been changed.
