Palestine was a safe place for Jews before Israel was created. The Muslim world has always been a safe haven for Jews. The European Christians were the ones who persecuted you and you are now persecuting the Muslims who used to let you live in peace. to the first part, obvious historical circumstances, assimilation, the comfortable setting of the United States, etc.

to the second part, 20%. some are druzim, which are very loyal to israel and the jews. some are bedouins, who are bcoming more loyal to israel. the rest are "1948 arabs" who are mostly not particularly loyal to israel.

a) israel DEFENSE forces are not terrorists. b) hamas does not give warnings, and directly targets civilains. IF israel TARGETED civilains, imagine what the numbers would be. the civilians that died were relatively small because of the force israel was using against hamas. hamas is like a parasite living amongst civilians, it is very hard to fight them in such a dense area and not have civilian casualties.

You forgot to mention the blockading of Gaza. Gaza is still under military occupation as Israel controls its airspace, borders and coastline. All organisations agree on this including B'tsalem the Israeli Human Rights Organisation and the UN. And by the blockading a terrority is an act of war.

As for the rockets they are mostly home-made out of scrap metal, anyone could make them in a few hours. Only the tiny little town of Sderot is mainly affected and one or two border towns such as Ashkelon.

Well that's very interesting because Israel bombed Gaza's Power Station in 2006 causing a humanitarian crisis with life support systems in hospitals and water treatment systems because it couldn't be repaired quickly enough. It has still not been properly repaired. Israel also restricts fuel to the station so people have regular blackouts. People in Gaza have to use cooking oil to power their cars because a shortage of petrol. I do not beleive you can produce any evidence!

Reem Kelani is not against the "Iraqis" using this poem. As an oppponent of the war on Iraq, she is against the Coalition Government in Iraq using "Mawtini", tainted by the Bush Administration's role in its creation. Also, the fact that the poet is Palestinian is not just the only reason that makes this poem "Palestinian", but the Palestinians have always used it as their "unofficial" national anthem from the thirties to this day, and so we should always make sure that people remember that.
