This is from a bigger Disney program or TV special from the 50s called the "The Wonderful World of Color!" This was to introduce how color TV worked. My aunt had the whole 30 minute show recorded!
Ludwig had to be my favorite non-feature film character in Disney's lineup. Remembering this song got me through most of the boring bits in my color theory class last year :)
@Poet0fDarkness666 Paint is different from light. Paint is a pigment. Light is a wave. When you mix several wavelengths (colors) of light together, it makes white. When you mix different colors of pigments (paint) together, the pigment absorbs some wavelengths and reflect others, giving off different colors.
Aw gosh, I found this by chance. I'm a Disney kid but I don't think I ever saw this. And gosh, it made me laugh so hard. I watched it maybe five, six times in a row the first time XD Ludwig really is just a great character.
This was from the very first NBC telecast of "Walt Disney's Wonderful World Of Color" from September 24, 1961. The night before, NBC presented another television milestone with the premiere of "Saturday Night At The Movies".
Canada's CBC also ran this episode not long after they began colo(u)rcasting in 1966.

How did Paul Frees do that gurgly sound on the "R"s?
Veggieman87 8 months ago
@Veggieman87 Von Drake is German.
MrLogoman007 6 months ago
@MrLogoman007 I meant how do you make that sound? I've tried but it doesn't sound anything like that.
Veggieman87 6 months ago
@Veggieman87 Put your tongue at the top of your mouth and roll.
MrLogoman007 6 months ago
The back of the tongue vibrates in the throat, not the Spanish r-roll. Carefully practice by gargling with water, then try less water.
marasu66 3 months ago
@marasu66 Thanks! I knew it wasn't the Spanish "r", but I couldn't figure out how to do the "German r".
