Alberta! I LOVE Alberta! I was in Wetaskiwin on July 23 for the Edmonton tornado and supercells, got to drive UNDER the funnel at CYEG, it was INCREDIBLE! And it was the 20th anniversary week of Black Friday. A major fan in Seattle waves back atcha!
I went to Canada during the stampede and then drove around Alberta, dipped into B.C. and then drove into Montana! Alberta rules man, I went to Edmonton and Wetaskiwin too, but the Ponoka Stampede and the west Ed mall were the best. Can't wait to go back!
Well, let me tell you something, man, Alberta waves right back, and you are welcome back anytime buddy!!! West Edmonton Mall isn't a mall, it's a city unto itself, based on my last visit in 1996...but thanks for the compliment!! Come back to Alberta anytime!!!
*sob* I *knew* I should have gone outside to watch it. I saw it on radar but figured it wasn't close enough to bother with, so I stayed inside watching TV. Then I saw videos of it on YouTube. D'OH!!!
Well if it's any comfort to you I didn't get any decent footage of the storms that happened last night (August 8-9)...my turn to sob I think...and to shout D'OH!!!
July 2008 was crazy, there was a storm pretty much every day.
