@ShereKhan77 By CD I meant album, but I couldn't care less if you have a cassette, CD or digital copy. Sorry I'm not old enough to listen to Bad Religion. Not sure how that pissing in a fan analogy relates to the comment, "buy the cd", but at least YOU thought it was funny. And I'm pretty sure one of Bad Religion's recurring thoughts/themes is trying to be a good person, nice to others, not to be a DICK. That whole dear god thing is a bit of a contradiction as well. Try to be a little less angry
why can't I find the damn original version? there's about 9001 acoustic, cover, and live versions on youtube, bot not the regular version. what gives?
@betterremember dear god man, your 26.do its your generation that pissed in the wind.youtube just put a fan in front of your urine stream.i own this on cassette.do you know what a cassette is boy???? or even punk that doesnt sound like pop hahahahaha
Going to see Bad Religion tonight or the first time in 5 years! (Finally fuck the warp tour!) Can not wait. Wish so bad I could get an album of all their acoustic remixes. The acoustics resonate so well with my friends who can't handle the punk. I love these guys! Planted the seed of doubt in my little 7th grade mind over 20 years ago!
Someone told me this was about revolution? I need a song about revolution for a project .. Anybody think or know if this is ? &If its not , can someone lemme know about a song that has to do with revolution. (:
@XMrsDesteryMooreX Well, Streetlight Manifesto did a cover for this song on their new album, named "99 Songs of a Revolution." So I would say yes, this is probably about a revolution. And it's a damn good song, cover or acoustic, or even the real thing. I hope you do well with your project. ^^
@PnthrCntr51 i bought the streetlight manifesto cd for 99 songs of a revolution. not all the songs are about revolution. they originally were gonna do that, but it ended up being a buncha influencial songs. cause im pretty sure the dead milkmens punk rock girl and linoleum by nofx arent very revolutonary. this one could be revolutionary though, i could be wrong
@XMrsDesteryMooreX I think whoever wrote this song had the biblical story of the tower of Babel in mind, and they are calling god a spoiled little baby, ok, I know that's what it's about because he just said "babel's walls came tumbling down". You know, the tower that men were building in the old testament that was supposed to reach heaven and god got all pissed and made them all speak different languages so they couldn't finish it.
@Nate2203 Theres a reason the bands called Bad Religion. BR are militant atheists, also the lead singer has a PHD. I may not agree with everything they ay but they always make me think.
@twilightsol Is there a point to that post? Have you even listened to the words of the song? Are you trying to say that it's not referring to the tower of babel? It obviously is.
To everyone who keeps saying it's "not a punk song" 1. It is. It's an acoustic version of a punk song from 1993. 2. If you didn't know this you're an idiot.
@dsgatm Greg Graphin didn't write this song. Brett Gurewitz did... and like EatYerDamnWheaties said, this is a re-recording, the original punk version is on Recipe for Hate
Same difference, really. Acoustic just means it's unplugged. And seeing as he's playing on a piano and not a keyboard, it could still be considered acoustic.
This is on The New Maps of Hell Deluxe Edition, which was released sometime in July this year. The deluxe edition comes with a bonus cd and includes acoustic covers of a few songs.

@hotpokets182 Linoleum is kind of revolutionary in that it is kind of counter culture and anti-materialist, but you have a point with punk rock girl.
