  • Most buildings in the US don't really ban photography, as the buildings NEVER post any signs at the entrance.

  • "Gauntlets" throw a lot of this out the window. :)

  • what program did you use to make the music ?

  • Before going to a place to film, it's best to call ahead. Some office buildings don't tell you who the owners are because of secrecy. Novus owns a lot of buildings in the U.S. If for some reason if the elevator stops on it's way to the floor you are headed to, point your camera at the floor of the elevator.

  • when it comes to uploading i just transfer my video from my camra phone(sony ericsson) to shaired videos and then just upload from their also you can easily do schools after hours that is how I did southington high school

  • nice video! the hospital here was very easy, they ban photography but i walked in at visiting time, camera in my pocket, got in the elevator and started filming.

  • I am going to join the youtube elevator community.

  • this summer i am hoping to "join the community." there's lots of sweet elevators in duluth, mn that should be shown on youtube. very nice video.

  • Also a Note

IF a Building has a Concourse and the main Elevators to the Top go there GO FROm CONCOURSE There is usually not a Guard Desk there if they have double deck though and you cant get in though the lobby then Settle for 1 floor lower

    Same with hotels

  • how to post videos?

  • How to RECORD, COMPRESS or EDIT, then POST.

  • Well, ONLY FOR ELEVATORS AND/OR ESCALATORS!

  • i avoid compressing mine as i rather have quality cause hd is a must if uploading a deathtrap compressing degrades the quality and is normally used when using dv tape or analong cassets (vhs)

  • we are!! in a nice community

  • And then I like to say, if you're staying at a hotel and wish to start from the lobby or other significant floor like a ballroom level, atrium level, or the like; bring your guestroom key with you to prove you're staying with them.

  • @Baytrail : Yeah, I managed to film not only hotels, parking garages, schools, and office buildings, I film residential buildings with absolutely no problem. In a residential building, a gap in a restricted gate is left open, as I sneaked past the gate and went inside an exit stairs which lead to the residential building elevators, and I did not get caught by security.

  • @elevatorgeek762 I don't recommend sneaking into residential buildings. The security is for the protection of the residents, and I believe sneaking into a residential building is just as bad as breaking into someones home.

  • @escalatorgeek881 : Exactly, I managed to film the elevators in such residential buildings, but I could have been in serious trouble. This time, I filmed residential elevators, got lucky I didn't get kicked out of them.

  • @escalatorgeek881 Also, do you think that in a hotel, going in if you not a guest is trespassing? For me, I think it isn't really a big problem unless you use other people's keycard to go up the elevators.
