@Rusdie77 There is a DVD! A production from 1995, reissued in 2009.I watched it and loved most of it. "English National Opera" with Thomas Randle and Yvonne Kenny among others. The opera as a whole is rather messy but it is VERY charming, I think!!!
I didn't meen to put this production down in any way, but look at the stage here, isn't it a bit "unordentlish" - the plot is rather strange - The drunken poet is of course dirty! - and in modern language I think you could call it dirty when the fairy queen is spending the night with a donkey, even if she is under a spell... Perhaps I should borrow your favorite version from my library ;-)
Oh yeah, is the dance as its original being?

@Ennah08: If you translate "messy" into German you get "unordentlich
schmutzig, dreckig, schmuddelig" (to be translated back into: "messy, dirty, dirty, grubby". I do not think I would agree ;-)
My favorite version: Bonney, Von Magnus, McNair &c. Arnold Schönberg Chor, Concertus musicus Wien, by Nicholas Harnoncourt.
