  • You used to lift weights?

    3:08 signs of a lifter...

  • @AugendesAbgrunds Still try to 3 to 4 times a week. If I could just stop hurting myself in the process everything would be grand..

  • You didn't answer her question... You tack on opposite corners because the metal in the HAZ is expanded, and when that metal cools, it will contract and cause tension and tend to pull. That way you control (and reduce) how the metal will be pulled back.

  • @walterbrunswick No but you did!! Thanks for stepping up...

  • swear. Love the work you do and the videos you post. Thank you.

  • @brittond14 Thanks for stopping by. We have lots of fun making these.

  • one more question what is your welder set at?

  • .@TheNomorevideos . If I remember right it was 80amps.

  • if you could make a video on verticle or horizontal TIG that would be great!

  • @TheNomorevideos I have done several TIG videos. Check on my channel for the whole list.

    Thanks for posting.

  • and is there a specific metal you cant TIG weld?

  • @TheNomorevideos Now that is a great question! I am sorry, I don't know the answer. I don't think so but I am not sure.

  • does the angle of the metal make a diffrence?

  • @TheNomorevideos Not that I'm aware of. This is just a good construction practice.

    Thanks for posting...

  • watch out kevin, dont get radiation burns!

  • @ixfxi I get worse than that just walking outside in the summer here!!

Great safety tip though. You should always wear your leathers or at the very least long sleeves. Cover up guys and gals, this stuff burns when you least expects it to.

  • Nice video. Love the big clamp. Never even thought about the magnetic field of the magnet interfering with the weld, but it does make sense. Thanks!

  • @VisorBlue it is amazing to watch the arc bend when you get to close to the magnet. Sure does make a mess of the weld too.

  • Thanks Kevin!

I wish I can weld like you my friend!!

    Alex

  • @2alejandro2008 Well if you want to enroll in the Kevin Caron Studio one day one on one welding class we will just see how well you do.

  • I use those magnets all the time. They also make them where there is a switch on them so you can turn it off , to get the metal dust off of them.

  • @1970chevelle396 I have to get me some of those. I keep looking at them at the welding store but never get around to buying them.

  • @1970chevelle396 I bought them at Summit Racing. I think they were just under $ 20 a piece

  • @1970chevelle396 Cool. I will check them out.

  • Thanks for posting guys! If you get the chance stop by my site and check out the rest of my work. Lots to see over there also.
