  • my lights still run off the ac side .

    but it wouldn't matter.

    mine works great ..

    just use the rectifier to convert the ac to dc current to charge the battery ..

    highest spike is 14. 25 this is a common use on boat engines .

    theyv'e been doing it for years ..

  • You need to change the Ody current to charge the battery. You need a diod on the yellow wire if you did not do the chang over like I did.

  • i used a $ 2.50 rectifier from radio shack of the lighting coil .

    it gets full charge ..

    works great ..

  • @JIMMYSBMXERS You need a Regulator/Ricitifier or your blow your lights out. You setup will work like the original goki starter is set up. BUT thats only a half wave charge at best. Many people use it and are fine with it. Did you change the lighting coil to grounded?

  • Alright ty yes I do have the holidays starter kit it just didn't come with the push button or starter/cranker motor:)

  • @shuddupnkissme23 They sale them on ebay. You need the goki fl250 starter. My ranger starter solenoid is a 4 banger

  • I used an 84 ranger starter solenoid. Not starter motor. You can buy the blue thing on ebay. it's called a Trail-Tech Voltage Regulator/Ricitifier <--- Spelling  About $40 They
