  • hola vi el video y me gustarai saber si me pudiera ayudar a hacer un como el de su video ya que no se nada de electricidad le agradeceria mucho su ayuda le dejo mi correo si gusta usted ayudarme se lo agradeceria mucho

  • It worked, great to see indicator light on your ON / OFF switches.

Surprising that the 6 mil gauge output wire didn't burn up or the insulation started smoking.

  • so, did you weld enough to burn your uncovered skin?

  • Nicely done man..! :D I got one MOT now... but i've got a few questions... how many turns vs wire gauge you need to get 1 volt?

  • @dzdice Most MOT's have the number of primary turns equal to the line voltage. If you have 120 volt mains, you have about 120 turns on the primary. So you'd need only a single turn to obtain 1 volt. At that low voltage, the current would be remarkably high. Assuming you limit the current draw from the mains to 15 amps, 120*15=1800 watts. 1800 watts at one volt gives you 1800 amps. You would need very thick wire. My math could be off on this.

  • @cenzo188 Hum, so i can acttually tare appart all both primary and secondary and rewind it for the voltage i'm working with and... here you go..! Ex: 48v 25 amps, i use 220 (220v volts europe) turns vs 48turns on the other side? Oh.. my MOT is rated for 1200w this means 1v = 1200amps... ouch! The funny thing is that you can touch the thing because your body doesn't let the current pass since the voltage is extremely low... yikes..! :) (i like it!)

  • @cenzo188 you seem like you know your stuff but what wire gauge should i use for the primary if im to have 220

turns and does it matter if after time of overlapping the wire the diameter of the turns could affect the electromagnetism? Any help would be much appreciated

    Thank you

  • hey does ur secondaries get hot quickly?? i made my own today but i need the thinner rods :) i will be using it for quick tack welds

  • hey what is the length of one of ur secondary windings how much feet of wire did u use ?

  • do mini circles when you weld...makes for a much cleaner line :)

  • add another mot you need just a little mot voltage to sustain the ark

  • Nice but you NEED FAN otherwise your mots will burn out very quickly!!

  • @toxicproductions100

rewound mots don't really over heat

  • @ubuntupokemoninc i built my own mot welder and after 5 mins the mots are preety hot.

  • that is not how to weld with a stick welder. get a welding mask. It is unstable, but a good start. Did you rewind the secondary, if not your voltage is way too high. mot's output a very high voltage way above line voltage. welding is done with low voltage high current. You can use a mot if the secondary is rewound with fewer turns of heavy wire. Not sure what you did cus you did not demonstrate the wiring, but made sure that we knew it was plugged into the wall.

  • @kwacz

Hi, are you an idiot? MOT in stock gives 1-4 kV and low apmerage. It is impossible to weld with stock MOT. Ofcourse he rewind secondary. In video can see very wel so..

  • how many welds can u make before the mots get hot??

  • how many turns and what gauge of wire you used for the secundary

  • Secondaries are in parallel?

  • Get some high power diodes and make a bridge rectifier to make it a dc welder. It will work better

  • I wish you had shown us how the wiring is done and not in such an hurry to show us that it works. The problem I have with many of the videos demonstrating the microwave transformer welder is that no one takes the time out to demonstrate the wiring of the bloody thing and everyone is too hurry to show us the welder in action.

  • get a welding mask you fool

  • @elliotmotoX i bet if i wrapped a $100 dollar bill around my cock you mom would suck it

  • @drainocleanser A $100 dollar bill? So a hundred dollar dollar bill? Sounds like you're inbred mate

  • @elliotmotoX

go suck a wooly mammoths dick with smuckers grape jelly

  • yeah about that safety, where's your helmet to begin with?

  • @aelia92 lol id go with a helmet before i even thought about gloves.

  • I'm working on this iv got enough transformers ''i think'' or at least 3 normal one's ,iv got this strange looking one with 2 secondary's it's the biggest idk if i could use it or not ,it's a neon light transformer. The others just vary in size and shape ,i just got to pick up some thick wire. This would be electronics 101 for me because i'm a cheap ass and won't pay.

  • Thanks for the tips. Will get around to making it better soon.

  • Your voltage is too low. +5 - 10 volts would make a big difference stabilizing the arc. Also you can add an choke. Take one MOT unwind all that there is and wind your welding cable on it. Choke surely improves the performance of this machine.

The weld that you did! It really isnt a weld. :D

  • The arc seems unstable. Maybe you are using too thick of a welding rod on this video. It'd be interesting to see the same rig with a thinner rod.

  • nice garage floor man

  • lol cool
