Hey detroitkillers, thanks for the outside perspective but at this point, don't waste your time. They're saying Avery started the fight last night now and Stevens was a clean player -clueless. This is about 2/3s of the Devils fan club anyway. Not worth it.

stevens was never dirty.. all his hits were clean... and everyone respected him even players on the other team.... no one likes avery... his teamates hated him and kicked him out of dallas.. and rangers only brought him back to have something to laugh at

i also remember stevens running from every tough guy in the NHL. probert, kocur, domi, mcsorley, etc.

This play got Clarkson a 14 MINUTE penalty. There were 9 minutes left. Avery didn't want to fight because there was no point. Devils fans call him a P***y.But if the Devils had Avery, he would be one of their favorite players.
So here's what I say. Avery was coming back, Clarkson wasn't. If Avery fought, that would've given the Devils momentum with 9 minutes left, almost enough time to tie it!
Oh and Lundquist was BETTER than Broduer last night, just throwing that out there.

I can't speak for all Devils fans, but any player I can't respect would not be a favorite of mine. I hope the Devils never get Sean Avery. His own teammates talk about him to the media (including Valiquet (sp?) after the ridiculous show in front of Brodeur last year). ThePoison56 says that would've given the Devils momentum with 9 minutes left???? Are you aware it was 3-0? Avery started this one...he dropped one glove..he just started against the wrong person.
