You have to understand, the longer the wait, the easier it will be to completely kill off reform. It has to be done, and it has to be done sooner rather than later. The health care industry and it's allies are only going to become more fierce in their opposition, the longer the reform takes to pass. Sure, I'd like it to be perfect too, but nothing is perfect. Something has to be passed as soon as possible and tweak it later.

It's all about the rate at which it's warming. The earth started warming up at many times its natural rate since the industrial revolution, which is just too big a coincidence for us to write it off as just a coincidence.
That, and we can measure increases in atmospheric CO2, and can demonstrate its basic properties that cause it to trap heat when its levels increase. Then there's the measured sea level rises, ocean acidification, etc. Basically, there's tons of proof that it's human-caused.

Yeah those were probably the best arguments in Gore's movie. I read somewhere that one of the ice ages ended in only two weeks. I also recently read about the odd solar activity or lack thereof, which some are suggesting is the cause of the cooling we've seen this summer. I'm no scientist but I feel like C02 is making it worse for sure and I'm sure thinned ozone isn't helping either. I love how worked up people get when you try to have an intelligent discussion.
