looser. he and the other clowns got our country into the biggest mess in history, that is unless the looser got another chance, then he would sink it completely
@dezsanderson it is already sunk. 2.6 million un-employed (with a projection to 3 million in 2013 as the EU crisis -main UK trade partner- goes deeper), jobs going south and east, racial/social tensions on the rise. This is NOT just another economic crisis. This is THE crisis. It is not reversable.
What about 10,000 public servanmts on £50k p.a pensions, many on over six figure pensions.... Fine we'll have a pensions floor in exchange for a pensions cap.
Yet more meaningless rhetoric that obfuscates the causative disease ravaging the peoples of the western world. Can you hear them even begin to address the fundamental question that has brought us all into this sorry condition.
These economics of debt are nothing less than slavery and the system was designed to do exactly what you see.
A nations wealth is based upon what it produces, not fictional bits of paper or city marketeers that with banker puppets like this have attempted to sell us all
Personaly , I do not know what is the best thing to do . All i know is that what we have now is not working , so people can say Ed Balls hasnt got a clue but niether is the man in charge now & he is Oxford Educated
The vat cut did sweet fa, as did the scrappage scheme.
Vat was irrelevant because It didn't apply to the goods it needed to target and scrappage was worthless because if you hada car over ten years old, it was probably for good reason. If you bought a new car in thwt time, you were probably going to anyway.
Bear in mind the fluctuation in vat was worth £2.50 for every £100 you spend ON CERTAIN ITEMS.
Really, how many people have changed their plans or the way they live in the last 3-5 years.
Unemployment is going up because the truth of fundamentals which underpin our Labour constructed economy are being outted like Julian Clary being outed as a homosexual, albeit far more obviously.
Sadly, this government and the British people are as oblivious to reality as the last government who constructed this Odd Future.
The simple question, what do we DO that we own. Apart from a few, very prominent niches, we do nothing besides count other peoples money and advertise other peoples goods.
What the deuce. Low paid public sector workers who earn under 15,000. What about me, who spends a quarter of my wages on fuel just to get to work, I get under 15,000, get no pension, and haven't received a pay rise in two years despite the increase in inflation.
Cameron and Osborne want to go down as the people that drove employment rights and unions back to the victorian era. They do not give a shit about the peasants and that includes you middle class wannabes that think you are big time bcause you have a few shares... You are not in the club, you are just as much pond life to them as the gobby chav estate kids... maybe even moreso, because you are so docile and easily herded around, it's like watching pigs being led into the slaughter house.
Really pisses me off that he can spout this bollocks, safe in the knowledge if labour were in power we'd have seen slashed growth forecasts precisely because of what's going on in the eurozone, the difference is we'd have the problem of high borrowing costs because the markets wouldn't trust us.
Our economy is growing slowly but in the last quarter we grew at 0.5% the same as the US & Germany and faster than pretty much all developed economies. The World is in a heap of shit - stop pretending
I used to want to hear what these people say, but I have come to realise that he is only a mouthpiece for those that put the policy in his head. This policy will lead to EXACTLY the same results as the other political criminal parties, cos they are all controlled by the same people. We need to stand up to these people and demand radical changes within the system. There needs to be transparency and we want fucking answers, the truth, not just smoke screens.
soon we will need to get authorisation from government to buy a new TV, or to spend 60 quid at the supermarket. In this way they will be able to monitor in real time the amount of tax they are getting out of the transaction. That will be friendly wont it?
It's always about debt. Even their solution for growth is to get everyone into even more debt. That is what they mean when they talk about confidence, the confidence to take on even more loans.
What a obvious ponzi scheme we are all operating under. We have to borrow into infinity, or the economy collapses.
But the debt will kill us off eventually, as more and more of government expenditure is eaten up by debt repayments.
@gshooting Thats what i was thinking. Why does the bbc give this idiot the air time and the time to spout the bollocks out his mouth. Would he be saying this if labour was in power and not in opposition, i some how doubt it.

Why is this guy constantly on the TV? Why is the Labour Party for that matter constantly called upon to commentate on a policy of the coalition?
