Do I need a printer to use the machine or with the new ones with SD readers can I just upload images from that to the software?

@MrDIYJONESY You only need a printer if you want to print your design before you cut it out. The SD reader is so you can cut regular things without having to load up your PC

Does this machine cuts 200gsm paper (appro. 0.23mm thick)?

Yes, the demo clip used 210gsm card and cut it with ease.
