  • It would apear from the first pics that lack of oxygen was responsible for the strange burn? Have you considered forced air in to the tyre nozels?

  • Also if you made a double wall outer jacket for your flame tube you could use this waste heat to preheat your primary air. If you are using mild steel for your nozzles, Are you seeing any scaling on there outer surface from repeated hot cold cycles ?

  • Hello a31ford, Thank you for showing your inspection of your nozzle area. You have noticed that there was a tar forming area around your nozzles, Have you thought of placing refractory compound around your nozzle ring to prevent the chilling of your fuel by your primary air ring? Have built wood stoves before and am thinking of using gasification to make it run clean.Also to be able to move the work flame away from the fuel box. Have a garden and can put the char to good use.
