畬話係地道惠州方言，客家話是中原話，遷移到梅縣就有一批留下來­，其他就繼續走，在廣東一帶四散，有一些更走到馬來西亞、台灣、­泰國、印尼............，而家好多客家話都滲入好多­地方方言，所以台灣客家人和梅縣客家人只能有五成溝通，如此類推­。香港客家因為滲入好多廣州音，香港人好易聽明，但去到梅縣或者­其他地方就困難些了！
