I have a meningioma. I was being treated first by a group of Doctors who wanted to treat it ONLY with Gamaknife. I left that group for another and will be having surgery soon but they are saying my only option is to lose part of my skull which will be replaced with titanium and they're not even removing the entire tumor because of location!!! From the looks of this video this tumor has reached that same location. Why was this type of procedure not offered as an option for me?
I had no symptoms. My tumor was found after an MRI was orderd after a phanting spell which turned out to be de-hydration. My tumor was watched for 3 years until the time when it started to change shape. Was removed in 06. Never had symptoms prior, after surgery didnt have any issues. In 09 I began getting severe headaches which I still deal with nearly every week.

The meningioma is arising from the skull base area called the tuberculum sellae under the optic nerves - the patient had visual loss which improved after tumor removal. It was not arising from the hypothalamus.
