  • Where can you get red/orange berry flies? Cabela's, Bass Pro?

  • We normally use a 5/6 weight with a fighting butt attached.

  • what weight rod

  • We use red and/or orange berry flies with a small amount of purple in the mix.

  • what type of fly

  • nice video, nice music, nice catching

  • Why does this music make me want to ask you if you have a purdy mouth? Just kidding. Great video.

  • ! F U N !

  • Those fish are incredibly smart.

    Well done...great video.

  • what flies are good for carp?

  • @NathanCollie From what I understand turd immitations work well. Where I come from, carp are commonly referred to as "sewer bass". However, in all seriousness, I hear crawdad imitations and aquatic insect immitations like hellgramites will do the trick..

  • this reminds me why i moved to alaska!!! and these are not riffles.

  • nice catching!!!! what type of flies were you using?

  • Best Flyfishing for Carp video on YT

  • those pests should've been thrown to shore. I agree with what tabwyo said.

  • why fish for carp?

  • I live near merrymeeting bay in Maine and the one word that comes to mind when i hear carp is...yuck. Those nasty things u can catch with corn and they are always nosing around in the mud. Thank you i prefer to flyfish for smallmouths and the sea-run brookies that come up the river.

  • Carp are as hard to take on fly than the most warry trout. And once hooked they are pound for pound one of the best fighting fish in fresh water. Especially on light tackle. And once harvested, that is one less breeding invasive fish in our fisheries. And if you are feeling really spunky. The smaller fish actaully do make a great meal.

  • regular common carp r not an invasive species they were stocked throughout america in the 1800s as a food resource just the asian carp are invasive species

  • Just try it It's fun even though their not the prettiest fish you have to be able to hit your mark on your cast.

  • Because they fight like hell.

  • what pound test tip it is that?

  • Great vid, what flies are you using?

  • good man for putting them back

  • They must be great on a fly rod, their like tanks.See(Fishing with Sylan 2007)big browns Anything that is so much fun is a #1 resourse.

  • Ahh, the Golden Bone! Nice work- any info on patterns used would be appreciated by this fledgling carp-a-holic.
