I think my brother had this album. I copied a few tracks onto cassette and still have it somewhere.

We saw them open for Rush in the old Charlotte Coliseum back in '83. Kinda had a Jimi vibe to him.

I remember writing to Polydor records after my cassettes got damaged asking why the 1st two JBA albums were already out of print. They told me to write to his Management, which was "Love Affair". They told me that JB broke his contract agreement to go to columbia for his 3rd album, and that they owned the rights to all of his music and would never let them be re-released as originally recorded, that's why only some of the songs are available on greatest hits. So I got the LP's on ebay!

my very first concert was the j geils band on february 24, 1982 at the old boston garden and john butcher axis opened up..i thought his band was better than geils!.....and i found out if i had gone the night before to see geils (they played three nights) i would of witnessed U2 opening up.....that pissed me off.

i saw dokken, jon butcher axis and def leppard in that order in chattanooga back in the 80s. i dont remember much but i remember that he was better than both the others but from this video and the nusic i have seen on utube i dont see how i must have really been wasted

Yeah, these guys rocked, but once they got popular locally and some hair and makeup types got a hold of them they looked pretty gay. Saw them so many times live at The Channel and they kicked ass! Derek Blevins drummed live like he had three arms.

I actually had the privledge on meeting Jon Butcher back when I saw him perform @ The Hampton Casino on Hampton Beach, NH. I think it was 1986 or 87. I remember all of Jon's video's running all the time on VH66 Boston all the time. He did an interview for that station & auctioned off one of his guitars. He talked making this video, because it was filmed in the dead of winter, 20 degree weather, on a bridge, in Boston after midnight. I'll always remember that when I hear this song.

@barjan1 This song got very little airplay and is mostly forgotten, the video is one of the best I've seen produced from that era. Video directors were still experimenting (MTV was 3 years old ) themes like a street party were still pretty fresh. And while the girls looked totally hot in this they don't look like street sluts (granted it's kinda hard to wear skimpy clothes in cold weather).
