  • she fart it 0:20 when she puts her leg together with the other llmao

  • It looks great! don't listen to the minor comments, they don't matter!

  • I'm sure even American Smooth waltzes have rise and fall... Thumbs down from me.

  • I love how he walks away at the end. Awesome.

  • you mean it gets more complicated then that?

  • Job well done, guys! I love it.

  • Slow Quick Quick is OK!

Waltz is waltz and Dance is dance.

  • the box step is correct i guess but the rest... is just weird.

  • lol.... the woman starts by going backwards with her LEFT foot! im from Vienna. i grew up with the Waltz and this dance seems like it's not correct. sorry.

  • @afkubo the teachers in this class do not teach the European why ,it almost has a look of a argentine tango or square rumba

  • This is not the waltz. Could be some horrible American "social" adaptation, but it sure ain't the waltz.

  • screw u

  • u wish.

  • the waltz you are refering to is called viennese waltz this is just waltz dumbass

  • the waltz you are refering to is called viennese waltz this is just waltz dumbass

  • The only two legitimate waltzes are the Slow (English) one and the Viennese one. This is neither. Probably something concocted in the US for crowded night club floors. But, I repeat, not a waltz.

  • you're forgetting the Tango Waltz here...

  • I can't forget what I've never heard of. As I've said, there are only two waltzes in the standard international ballroom dancing syllabus - the Viennese Waltz and the Slow Waltz (sometimes called the English Waltz). There are countless local so-called "waltzes" in the US, none of which involves any actual waltzing. The "Social" (or "Box") Waltz is OK for congested dance floors or for people who can't be bothered to learn any real waltzing, but credible ballroom dancing it ain't!

  • I agree with you on that: 2 ballroom waltzes. In your comment I replied to you were saying that "there are only 2 LEGITIMATE waltzes".

Tango Waltz (or Argentine Waltz) has been danced for the past hundred years all over the world and it's got the timing of a waltz and the complexity of a tango.

Look up "Desde el alma", "Lagrimas y sonrisas", "Romance del barrio", "Sonar y nada mas"... You may like it :)

  • I've checked it out and you're right, there is such a thing as the Tango-Waltz, albeit it looks for all the world like the Milonga form of the Argentine Tango. I'm not sure I can detect much waltz in it, but that's equally true of whatever the guy in this clip is demonstrating.

  • @latinastaire I agree it is not done to the British standards this looks like a square rumba formate they look like there going around in circles

  • @Czerniakowska how should we know that's why were looking for how to dance the walktz aduh

  • @aftertaste09

The problem lies in the insistence of some on your side of the 'Pond' on referring to the American Social Waltz and American Social Foxtrot as the 'Waltz' and 'Foxtrot' respectively. I don't know if this stems from arrogance, ignorance or plain idleness, but it enables guys like the one in this video to give the impression that they are teaching the bona fide dances, when in fact what they are demonstrating are grossly simplified and technically all-at-sea adaptations.
