No he's not gay. They did state in one episode that he's not the romantic type of guy or the dating type. He said that his heart belongs to only one person, but we don't know who that is yet. Remember the bar scene in episode 3 when some girl came back and says that he's changed?

Well, now, I'm not sure. After seeing episode 4 & 5, it does seem like he's falling for Reyna, but Cole can't get through that because of Chris. That's the reason why that girl (the one who dumped him because he said that he was thinking of Reyna again, don't know her name) Then he asks Chris (drinking scene) to find out what she really wants but she Reyna was not at her room. I guess we just have to watch more episodes to clear things out.
