  • His last 3 seasons were with the Redskins, and as an older player he was STILL a tough, tough guy for the other team to block.

  • The only guy at the time who could block him was tony boselli

  • I bet that one bills play against the jets would be offsides today. But that still shows how fast Bruce was.

  • It saddens me that Bruce Smith never got his ring.

  • Haley should be HOF

  • "He killed Boomer!!" Lmaoo...

  • LOL how can you be 4th when u have 200 fucken sacks...

  • 2:15 - "He is shaken up." Shaken up? He's not even moving!

  • how bout this Reggie White and Bruce Smith are a pair of the greatest pass rushers ever

  • boomer dead!!! oh my god he killed boomer!!!

  • Not to mention Bruce Smith made LT look like a fkin Puppy Dog. And who the hell cares about "Demon" Deacon Jones? He cheated to get his sacks...whether or not the rules were in place at the time he played: Had Bruce Smith been allowed to bitch slap the guy he lined up against on every play he woulda had 300 sacks!

  • @lastcatamount Bruce Smith couldn't polish LT's or Deacon's cleats.

  • G.O.A.T.

    1. Bruce Smith- 200

    2. Reggie White- 198

    nuff said

  • @Coolquip43 Yea and Bruce Smith only played 47 more games than Reggie White and has 2 more sacks than him whooptie freakin doo! Reggie White was better!!

  • @mpj32587 Touche

  • Bruce was definately number 1. stats do not lie and he ended Boomers and Montanas football careers....history doesnt lie either...LOL...Brruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuce

  • #4? what a joke!! Bruce was #1 and the stats dont lie.

  • Its a real shame we can't see good defense anymore because it basically illegal.

You can't hit the QB, high, low, too hard, two guys at a time, after an int or a fumble. Unless its a running QB.

This is turning to the nba where superstars get calls but non-superstars don't.

  • if your talking about sacks and pass rushing, there is no one even close to Bruce Smith

  • Umm im pretty sure that bruce smith is the all time leading sack leader soo.........

  • I grew up watching bruuuuuuuuuce......unfortunately, like all kids, you dont realize how special it is at the time. i even shook bruces hand on two seperate occasions just around buffalo, he was the nicest guy and his hands were BIG....ah, i wish i could go back to those years

  • BAAAAAAD THINGGGGSS MAAAANN!

  • STILL DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW U LOSE 4 STRAIGHT SUPERBOWLS THEY WHERE A GREAT TEAM WIT A GOOD OFFENSE AND DEFENSE JUST DIDNT SHOW UP ON THE BIG STAGE

  • he was good but in two super bowls vs dallas didnt register a sack. infact he only hit Aikman once but the ball was gone shortly before.

  • there is a reason he is #1 all time... because he is ridiculousness whether if he is on the top of the list or not he is the leader of ALL TIME and if that doesn't say something well them idk what does.

  • "This movie is rated R! Adult language and violence!" Bruce Smith was a monster; an absolute monster.

  • most power at the point of contact in nfl history

  • ohh i miss those days

  • Bruce Smith played four more years than Reggie White and recorded only two more sacks. And while I would put Bruce Smith ahead of LT, I would say that they figured LT had to play pass coverage as well. And Deacon Jones supposedly would have had over 200 sacks had they been an official statistic back then. But still, these four players are probably interchangeable at the top.

  • LOL "Oh My God!!! He Keelt Boomer!"

  • BBBBRRRRUUUUUUUUCCCEE!! F--N awesome! Cant touch this, HAMMER TIME!

  • You can argue all you want about who should be #1 on this list. One thing is for certain, the top 4 on this list are in a league by themselves.

  • how could the all time leader be #4 and not #1?

  • Wait, the all time-sack leader in NFL History is #4? Something is wrong..

  • @JaggedEdgeFJ Agreed...

  • BULL SHIT!!!

  • Haha, Boomer laying face down not moving, announcer only goes as far as saying he's shaken up.

  • He got crushed!

  • bruce is the best of all time, hands down

  • "OMG HE KILLED BOOMER" lol bruce turnin football games into southpark episodes

  • the all time sack leader isnt #1????

  • Jamie Dukes thinks Reggie is better because he's a fellow fat man. Fatty can't admit that a guy who isn't heavy can be stronger than some beefed up muscleless fat dude.

  • "There are opponents that are just on another level of fear and respect...Bruce Smith."

  • 0:56 LOL at the Bruce Smith fan.

  • Bruce Smith vs. Bruce Armstrong - one of the great underrated battles of the 1990s.

  • Smith may have been a better pass-rusher than White, but he was not better than the Deacon..

  • @jaydajay17 - He was better than LT and Reggie for sure.

  • @lastcatamount smith was not better than reggie or LT but he was great

  • if james harrison did that hit on boomer, that would have been a 50,000$ fine

  • @Aut0KAD

    Definitely.

  • Anthony Munoz who is consider the best LT of all time, said Bruce was the best he went up against.

  • Bruce Smith should of been #1

  • baaaad things man baaad things

  • "Ahh Boomer dead! Is he dead? OMG He killed Boomer!"

  • #1 sack leader gets #4 pass rusher? Thats make absolute fucking sense. Disrespectful dbags.

  • @lastcatamount Bruce Smith was nice, but come on Reggie White was a way better defensive end.

  • @matteuwh there's a reason he holds the title with 200 sacks,,,,,

  • @HOMERDABULLDOG1 the only reason that bruce smith has the sacks title is because reggie white played in the USFL before he came to the NFL

  • @lastcatamount There's more to football than just stats.

  • #4? Please, Buffalo gets no respect

  • Trumpy is douche!

  • I will concede that Reggie White was a better overall defensive lineman. But Bruce Smith was a better pass rusher, and therefore should be #1 on this list.

Put Bruce in a 4-3 defense playing alongside Jerome Brown (for a short time) and Clyde Simmons like White had the luxury of, and he would have finished with 275 career sacks. He was quicker off the line than White with better pass rushing technique. But he played the first half of his career alongside guys like Leon Seals and Mike Wright.

  • IMHO Bruce Smith or LT were the best, Reggie's dead.... there's never been better, prolly never will be.

  • Bruce actually only helped them get to 3 superbowls :P He was injured 1991

  • YEH BRUCE SMITH #4 LETS GO BUFFALOOOOOOOO!

  • "is he dead?!" LMFAO

  • Bruce should be higher than Reggie.

  • @MetallicSoap Reggie is the best pass rusher of all time and i think the only reason why he is not higher is because of the 4 super bowl losses

  • I disagree with that Bob Trumpy guy. I think Bruce Smith was better that Reggie White as a pass rusher because Reggie was in a 4-3 all of his career, while Bruce was in a 3-4 a majority of his. D-Ends in a 3-4 are generally not pass rushers. There are exceptions(Howie Long & Lyle Alzado for example), but as a rule the pass rushers in a 3-4 are OLBs.

  • @Fnoel98356 Ya good point but bruce had a lot of freedom to play the pass than most 3-4 DEs, he also had guys like phil hansen and cornelious bennet to help draw double teams off him

  • @Fnoel98356

I second that - In fact, defensive linemen in many 3-4 schemes (ie the 34 zone-blitz scheme) are typically asked to simply asked to tie-up opposing blockers

  • @Fnoel98356 agree, just look at the struggle Warren Sapp had moving from the 4-3 Undertackle in the Bucs to the 3-4 Defensive end, a 3-4 DE has a lot to overcome to get a sack, they are basically looking for double team all day to free up lanes for the LBs to rush in

  • @Fnoel98356

I agree with you. White was better overall, but Smith was better as a pass rusher. Also, Smith had no help on the D-line; White had the benefit of guys like Jerome Brown and Clyde Simmons taking blockers from him.

  • @alfarabi73 Smith really wasn't in a typical 3-4 though. When people think of a 3-4 defense, they think of one 350 pound nose tackle and two 300 pound defensive tackles playing the defensive end positions. Smith was on that team to be a pass rusher. Buffalo blitzed linebackers to the middle of the offensive line instead of the outside. This allowed the defensive ends to be one on one with offensive tackles on the outside.

  • @Fnoel98356 can't go wrong either way

  • 2:15 its like Bruce told the Jets their snapcount.

  • Bruce could do it all and he played at the same speed every play all game!

No one got held more than Smith! If they actually through flags every time he was held, games would have lasted over 2 hr.s in duration.

Id like to see his career stats on how many times O-Lineman were penalized for holding him.

  • Oh My God He Killed Boomer!!

  • Bruce Smith definitely had a mix of fear and respect....such a class player and wreaked such havoc

  • DAAAAYUMMM that hit on boomer was ridiculous lol
